Thomas John Guiry was born on October 12, 1981, in Toms River, which is located in Ocean County in the state of New Jersey, United States. His education at ‘St. Gregory the Great Catholic Elementary School’ in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, spanned from kindergarten all the way up to the eighth grade.
After that, he received his diploma from ‘Notre Dame High School’ in Lawrenceville, which is located in New Jersey.

At the tender age of 12, Tom Guiry shot to prominence for his role as ‘Scotty Smalls’ in the classic film ‘The Sandlot.’ Tom Guiry is an American actor who rose to fame for his depiction of the character. Because of his accomplishment, he was able to secure several more roles as a young actor. He has roles in successful films such as “Lassie,” among others. As an adult, he acted in a variety of films and television series, mostly playing supporting or recurring roles.

He was a part of movies including “U-571,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Mystic River,” and “The Revenant,” all of which received positive reviews from film critics and did well at the box office. On television, he made guest appearances in episodes of the police procedural drama ‘Law & Order’ as well as its spin-offs, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ and ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent.’ In the television drama series ‘The Black Donnellys,’ he played a pivotal role as one of the series’ main protagonists. His first performance for which he received recognition was in the television movie “A Place to Be Loved” in 1993.

When Guiry first began his acting career, he was considered a talented kid artist. In 1993, when he was only 12 years old, he made his debut in a full-length motion picture by portraying the role of “Scotty Smalls” in the film “The Sandlot.” His career was established with the coming-of-age comedy film, which went on to become a cult phenomenon. In the same year, he made an appearance in the movie ‘Shattered Family,’ in which he played the role of ‘Gregory Kingsley,’ which in the United Kingdom is referred to as ‘A Place to Be Loved.’   In the film “Lassie,” which he released the year after, he played the role of “Mathew Turner,” and it was a commercial hit.

In the movie ‘The Four Diamonds,’ which was released in 1995, he portrayed the character of Christopher Millard. In the same year, he made his debut on television, portraying the character of “Kevin Stanton” in an episode of the American police procedural series “Law & Order,” which was named “Bait.” He was cast in the American revisionist Western film ‘Ride with the Devil,’ as ‘Riley Crawford.’As the new century began, he made a few film appearances dressed as a man in a military uniform. Two examples of this type of role are that of “Seaman Ted’ Trigger’ Fitzgerald” in the submarine film “U-571” from the year 2000 and “Private Cantwell” in the American war drama film “Tigerland” from the year 2000. In the year 2000, he also appeared in the American comedy film titled “Songs in Ordinary Time,” playing the role of “Norman Fermoyle.”

In the year 2001, he played the role of ‘Sgt. Ed Yurek’ in the American military film ‘Black Hawk Down,’ which went on to win many Academy Awards and garner widespread critical acclaim. In the same year, he had an appearance as ‘Malcolm Duncan’ in ‘Scotland P.A,’ a contemporary interpretation of Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth.’In an episode of the American crime-drama series ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ from the year 2002 titled ‘Disappearing Acts,’ he played the twin roles of ‘Gavin Sipes’ and ‘Nikolai Rosovitch.’

In the same year, he also had a role in an American television movie called “We Were the Mulvaneys,” in which he played the character of “Judd Mulvaney.” In the 2003 film ‘The Mudge Boy,’ he played the role of ‘Perry Foley,’ and in the neo-noir mystery drama ‘Mystic River,’ he played the role of ‘Brendan Harris.’ After taking a sabbatical from television for more than a year, he made his return with the courtroom drama series ‘The Jury,’ appearing as ‘Carl Donner’ in the episode titled ‘Memories.’ He was also seen in the role of ‘Gerry Sykes in the television drama movie titled ‘Strip Search.’

In the film ‘Strangers with Candy’ from 2005, he played the role of a high school bully. In the film ‘Bristol Boys in 2006, he played the role of ‘Michael “Little Man” McCarthy.’ He also played the role of ‘Marcus Randolph in an episode of the police procedural series Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ named ‘The Good.’ In the film Steel City (2006), he played the role of PJ Lee. In the film Black Irish (2007), he played the role of Terry McKay. In the film Prisoner (2007), he played the role of Bob. In 2007, Guiry participated in an audition for the leading character of ‘Thomas “Tommy” Donnelly’ in the American drama television series ‘The Black Donnellys.’

However, he was chosen to play another lead character, ‘James “Jimmy” Donnelly,’ and he was featured in 13 episodes of the show. In the American drama film titled “Yonkers Joe,” which was released in 2008, he played the role of “Joe Jr.” He also appeared as “Ryan Emerson” in an episode of “Law & Order” titled “Misbegotten.” The year after that, he had an appearance in an episode of the American police procedural drama ‘CSI: Miami,’ which was titled ‘Head Case,’ as well as in two episodes of the drama series ‘Kings,’ which were titled ‘Judgment Day’ and ‘Insurrection.’ In 2011, he had roles in the crime drama ‘The Bandit’ as ‘Danny Wilson’ and in the police procedural ‘Unforgettable’ as ‘Ken Harbert’ in the pilot episode. Both of these roles were played by him.
