Bio

Sergio Aguero is an Argentine footballer who plays for the Argentina national team as well as the “Premier League” club “Manchester City.” Aguero is a member of the Argentine national squad. Since he was a little boy growing up in Buenos Aires, he has always had a strong passion for football. At the age of 15, he made history by being the youngest player from Argentina to ever compete in the prestigious competition known as the “Argentine Primera División.”

Atlético Madrid, a team competing in La Liga, made the decision to purchase him in 2006 after being blown away by his spectacular play. He has played in 234 games for “Atlético,” scoring 101 goals for the club. In those games, he has scored 101 goals. In addition, he was a significant contributor to his team’s success in 2010’s “UEFA Europa League” and “UEFA Super Cup” competitions.

In 2011, he was offered a contract by “Manchester City,” which he gratefully accepted. “Manchester City” Shortly after, he shattered several records and became the non-European player in the league with the most goals scored. On November of 2017, he surpassed the previous record for the most goals scored in the history of ‘Manchester City.’ Sergio has competed for his country in three ‘FIFA World Cups,’ as well as one ‘Copa América,’ during the course of his career.

His parents were youngsters when they conceived him and were financially challenged too. This resulted in his mother experiencing a great deal of stress when she was carrying him. After his birth, things did not much improve, and the family still battled to make it through each day. When Sergio was only two years old, his family uprooted and relocated to Florencio Varela.

In his childhood, Sergio’s dad was a football player, but he never really considered making a living playing the game professionally. But, he never lost his enthusiasm for the sport, and it had a profound impact on Sergio. As soon as possible, Leonel assumed responsibility for his kid’s training since he was unable to pay for his son to attend a football school due to the difficulties that the family was experiencing financially.

It was a stroke of good fortune that Argentina had a robust football infrastructure, as did the “Independiente,” a youth program that fostered the development of up-and-coming players in the sport. Up until he was eventually given the opportunity to make his debut in a match against “Club Atlético” in 2003, Sergio was a member of the club’s youth division.

He was the youngest player in the division to make his debut on the pitch, and he did so when he was a little over 15 years old. The legendary football player Diego Maradona was the previous holder of this record. As a result, Sergio set a record in 2004 by being the youngest player ever to represent Argentina in the “Copa Libertadores.” His performance in the competition earned him a berth on the national “Under-20” squad, which went on to participate in the “FIFA Under-20 World Cup” in 2005.

Argentina emerged victorious in the tournament, which was hosted by Argentina. Sergio’s performance improved during the 2005–2006 season, as he ended up scoring 18 goals in the 36 league matches that he participated in during that season. Sergio has verified the rumors that a number of teams in Europe are interested in acquiring him. Shortly after, he made the announcement that the current campaign would be his last one with the Argentine club.

In the competition to get Sergio, the club known as “Atlético Madrid” emerged as the front-runner, and the deal to send him there was finalized in May. In May of 2006, “Atlético Madrid” made the acquisition of Sergio official. Unfortunately, Sergio was mired in controversy when he was caught on camera in October 2006 using his hand to score a goal. Sergio only managed to score seven goals during his first season at “Atlético Madrid,” despite the fact that he appeared in all of the team’s games.

This first season was a mixed bag for Sergio. During the season 2007–2009 of “La Liga,” he became a star of the squad by scoring 19 goals throughout the league. As a result, he became the third-highest goal-scorer in the league. In a match that took place in March 2008 versus Barcelona, he was honored as the “Man of the Match.” Atlético Madrid moved up to fourth place in the standings as a direct result of his performances against clubs with a higher strength of competition.

This meant that they had qualified for the “UEFA Champions League” once again after a ten-year absence from the competition. Sergio had another successful season in 2008–2009, as he finished the year as one of the top ten candidates for the “Pichichi Trophy.” This was only one of Sergio’s many accomplishments during that season. In addition to that, he was an important part of his team’s success in advancing to yet another “Champions League.”

During the next campaign, he was an integral part of his team’s run to the championship game of both the UEFA Europa League and the Copa del Rey. In 2010, “Atlético Madrid” won the “UEFA Super Cup” by claiming victory against “Internazionale,” the team that was considered to be the favorite. Soon after, the club made the announcement that they would be extending Sergio’s contract for an additional four years and also appointed Sergio the vice-captain of the squad as a reward for his crucial part in the club’s fantastic accomplishments across a variety of competitions.

While Sergio was playing at the highest level of his career during the 2010–2011 season, “Atlético Madrid” had an exceptionally successful year. He finished with 20 goals in the league, and from March to May of 2011, he had a streak of seven games in which he scored two goals in a row. In a match against “Mallorca” in May of 2011, Sergio scored his first hat-trick of his professional career.
