Jey Uso Bio

The Usos are an American professional wrestling tag team made of twin brothers Joshua Samuel Fatu and Jonathan Solofa Fatu, who are known professionally by their individual ring names, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. The Usos were born on August 22, 1985, in the United States of America. They are part of the famed Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers and are presently contracted with WWE. They perform on the SmackDown brand at WWE, where they are currently signed.

Their father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, has been training them since they were children, and they made their debut in 2009 in the developmental territory of WWE at the time, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where they quickly became the FCW Florida Tag Team Champions. The year after that, they were added to the primary roster of players. During their time on the main roster, their cousin Tamina Snuka and Jimmy’s wife, Naomi, have managed them as a tag team. They were members of the criminal organization known as The Bloodline from July 2021 until June 2023, alongside their real-life cousin Roman Reigns, who served as the organization’s head, and their younger brother Solo Sikoa.

The Usos are widely regarded as one of the very best tag teams in the history of professional wrestling, both by their contemporaries and by wrestling experts. They have held the SmackDown Tag Team Championship for a combined total of 622 days, making them the current holders of the record for the longest male tag team championship reign in the history of WWE. This record was set during their fifth reign.

They have won the WWE Tag Team Championship a total of three times, along with the WWE (Raw) Tag Team Championship, and the Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year in both 2014 and 2015. Overall, they have won a total of eight tag team championships in WWE. After claiming the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on three separate occasions in 2017, they went on to win the title for a fourth time in 2019 and for a fifth time in 2021.

They are the first team to win both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, and they are also the first team to hold both championships at the same time to become the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. In addition, The Usos have competed in the main event of a number of other pay-per-views, one of which was Night 1 of WrestleMania 39. This was the first time that a tag team championship was defended in the main event of a WrestleMania, and the second time that a tag team match was the main event of Wrestlemania.

In total, The Usos have fought in the main event of seven different pay-per-views.Joshua Samuel Fatu (also known as Josh) and Jonathan Solofa Fatu (also known as Jon) were both born on August 22, 1985 in San Francisco, California (Jonathan is the older twin by 9 minutes). They are the sons of Talisua Fuavai and the professional wrestler Solofa Fatu Jr. The Fatu brothers trace their ancestry back to Samoa.

They are first cousins once removed from current and former WWE superstars Afa Anoa’i Jr. because they are the kids of WWE Hall of Famer Solofa Fatu Jr. (Rikishi), who is also a member of the Anoai family. The brothers spent their high school years in Pensacola, Florida, at Escambia High School, where they participated in varsity football competition.

They continued their careers in football at the University of West Alabama, where they both played linebacker for the school’s team. Joshua played for three seasons (2003–2005), whereas Jonathan only participated in one season (2003). On the episode of WWE SmackDown that aired on January 26, 2007, Jon wrestled under the moniker “Jon Robinson,” teaming up with Adam Evans in an effort that was unsuccessful against Deuce ‘n Domino.

Jonathan used the ring name “Jimmy Uso” when he made an appearance at the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) television tapings on November 5, 2009. He accompanied Donny Marlow to the ring during the match. In addition, Jimmy competed in a dark match prior to the taping of the FCW television show on November 19, where he won over Titus O’Neil.

The Uso Brothers won their first match of 2010 against The Rotundo Brothers (Duke and Bo) on January 14. Joshua made his ring debut as “Jules Uso” during this match. On February 18, in a matchup between wrestlers from different generations, The Rotundo Brothers and Wes Brisco prevailed over The Usos and Donny Marlow with the assistance of Donny Marlow. They resumed their relationship with Marlow at the television tapings on February 25, when he joined them at ringside for a victory against Titus O’Neil and Big E Langston.

In this match, they were victorious. In March, they were joined by Sarona Snuka, who began working as their manager. On March 13, The Usos won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship by defeating The Fortunate Sons, which consisted of Joe Hennig and Brett DiBiase. Sarona Snuka became their manager. They were successful in their maiden championship defence, which took place at the television tapings on March 18 and involved a victory over The Dudebusters (Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft).

After that, they went on to successfully defend the championship against Percy Watson and Darren Young, Hunico and Tito Nieves, Skip Sheffield and Darren Young, and The Dudebusters, whom they defeated by disqualification when Tamina pushed the referee out of the ring to stop him from counting the pinfall.  On June 3, “Los Aviadores” (Hunico and Dos Equis) defeated “The Usos” to win the Florida Tag Team Championship. This defeat occurred for The Usos.

The Usos (with Jules now wrestling as Jey Uso) and Tamina made their debut as heels on the episode of Raw that aired on May 24, 2010, by attacking the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya). The following week, Raw General Manager Bret Hart announced that he had signed them to contracts and that the announcement came the previous week.

That evening, the three individuals released a promotional clip in which they stated that they were hoping for respect for their families. They were disrupted and ambushed by The Hart Dynasty, who were out for revenge for the unexpected attack that had taken place the week before. On the episode of Raw that aired on June 7, The Usos made another effort to attack The Hart Dynasty, but this time, The Harts were ready for them and won the upper hand. The Usos won their first match for the company in the ring on the edition of Superstars that aired on June 17, beating both Goldust and Mark Henry in the process.

Three days later, they made their pay-per-view debut at the event known as Fatal 4-Way, where they were defeated by The Hart Dynasty in a six-person mixed tag team match. On the edition of Raw that aired on June 28, The Usos were supposed to compete against The Hart Dynasty, but the match was scrapped because The Usos attacked The Harts as they were entering the ring instead of starting the contest. On the edition of Raw that aired on July 12, Jey pinned Smith to earn the victory for The Usos in a six-person mixed tag team bout against The Hart Dynasty. This was the first time The Usos had defeated The Hart Dynasty.

At the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, The Usos challenged The Harts for the Unified Tag Team Championship, however they were unsuccessful in their attempt to win the title. In his debut singles encounter on the Raw brand, Jey Uso competed against Randy Orton on the show that aired on July 26. Jey Uso was unsuccessful in this match. At Night of Champions, they competed in a match called Tag pair Turmoil, which gave them a second opportunity to win the Tag Team Championship.

In this match, they were successful in eliminating both The Hart Dynasty and the pair of Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella before being eliminated by Mark Henry and Evan Bourne. Tamina stayed in the corner of Marella and Kozlov following their victory of the WWE Tag Team Championship, which resulted in her turning face and leaving The Usos when The Usos were eliminated from a fatal four-way tag match on the edition of Raw that aired on December 6. The contest was a fatal four-way tag match. The Usos were eliminated from the battle.
