Dan Easton Corbin is a well-known country music singer who was born in the United States on April 12, 1982. In 2009, he got a recording contract with Mercury Records Nashville, and he released his first album, which was self-titled, in March of the following year. The album included the number-one successes “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll with It,” as well as the number-14 smash “I Can’t Love You Back.” It wasn’t until September 2012 that he released his second album, titled All Over the Road. February of 2012 saw the release of the band’s first song, titled “Lovin’ You Is Fun.” The song “All Over the Road” was the album’s second single, and it was released in January 2013. As of the year 2021, he has already sold more than 500,000 albums and more than 5 million singles.
The remix version of his song “Are You with Me” that was published by the Belgian DJ and record producer Lost Frequencies resulted in the song being a smash all over the world. Trenton, Florida is where Dan Easton Corbin was born and raised. After the separation of his parents, he moved home with his grandparents on the family farm, where he became familiar with country music via the medium of television shows like “Hee Haw.” At the age of 14, he began taking guitar lessons at the Dixie Music Center from session musician Pee Wee Melton. Shortly afterward, he formed a band that went on to win opening spots at a music festival for Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.
Before tying the knot with Briann on September 2, 2006, he received his degree in agribusiness from the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, where he also got his undergraduate degree. On October 14, 2006, they made the move to Nashville, Tennessee, where he obtained a job at an Ace Hardware store and continued to play at writers’ evenings. A distant relative who teaches entertainment management at a university gave him positive recommendations to local connections in Nashville.
Corbin announced the fact that he is no longer married when appearing on The Bobby Bones Show on September 3, 2013. In 2012, he and Briann finalized their divorce. In 2005, Easton Corbin participated in the Annual Suwannee River Jam by entering a contest that was held at First Street Music in Lake City, Florida. Andy Temple, who had previously owned the business, was the first to realize his skill and put him in touch with his songwriting buddy, Reese Wilson, who was instrumental in launching his career. In 2008, Corbin collaborated with Nashville-based composer Reese Wilson and producer Steve Davis to make a six-track demo CD. The CD had three full instrument tracks and three acoustic songs, with Corbin playing all of the instruments himself.
The demo included the songs “All About You,” “I Ain’t A Highway,” “Missin’ You,” “Gettin’ ‘Got, Good,” “Miracles Happen,” and a rendition of “Eleven Roses” by Hank Williams Jr. Due to the fact that only a limited quantity of demo discs were manufactured, the disc itself is very difficult to come by. As a result, it has developed into a collector’s item that die-hard fans are eager to acquire. You may get the music in digital format through YouTube. Because the songs have not been included on any of Corbin’s albums up to this point, they have not yet been made publically available.
Easton Corbin was given a recording contract with Mercury Nashville in 2009 by Joe Fisher, who served as senior head of A&R at Universal Music Group Nashville. In July, he released his first song, which was titled “A Little More Country Than That.” Don Poythress and Wynn Varble, both members of Joey + Rory, collaborated with Rory Lee Feek of Joey + Rory to write the song. A digital extended play consisting of four songs named A Little More Country Than That was made available by the record label in the month of August, only a few short weeks before the single broke into the top 40 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs list. In March of 2010, Carson Chamberlain served as producer for the first album simply named “Corbin,” which was released by Corbin.
The album sold 43,000 copies in its first week, making it Mercury Nashville’s album with the best first-week sales in the last seven years. On January 30, 2017, Corbin disseminated “A Girl Like You” to country radio as the first single off his soon-to-be-released fourth studio album. following more than a year on the charts, the song finally reached its highest position on the Billboard Country Airplay chart at position No. 6 following a fairly gradual ascent. Despite the fact that the song reached number 10 on the charts, Corbin’s contract with Mercury Nashville was canceled in February of 2018. The next song that Corbin released independently in January 2019 was titled “Somebody’s Gotta Be Country,” and it came close to cracking the top 40 of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart by reaching position No. 64.
Corbin announced the release of his extended play named “Didn’t Miss a Beat” on November 13, 2020. His first release after his contract with Mercury was terminated. The previous two singles “A Girl Like You” and “Somebody’s Gotta Be Country” were not included on the EP. This is the first album by Corbin that did not chart on the Billboard charts.
As a result of “A Little More Country Than That” reaching the top spot on the country chart for the week ending April 3, 2010, Easton Corbin became the first solo male country artist to send a debut song to the top spot on the country chart since Dierks Bentley in 2003 with “What Was I Thinkin'”. “Roll with It” was the second single that was released from the album, and it reached Number One in the United States in October. The song “I Can’t Love You Back,” which was the album’s third and final single, was broadcast on radio stations in November 2010 and peaked at number 14 in the early months of 2011. In order to raise awareness of Easton Corbin, he participated in the H2O World Tour as an opening act for Brad Paisley, which started in May 2010.
