Warren Donald Leight is a well-known American playwright, screenwriter, film director, and television producer. He was born on January 17, 1957, in the United States Of America. Through his work on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Lights Out, as well as his role as the showrunner for In Treatment and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, he has garnered the most attention and recognition. In the episode “Shrink-Wrapped” from the third season, a couple who is always arguing with each other discusses the reasons why the married pair in the play is acting the way they do. The decision to appoint Leight as the program’s executive producer and head writer came about in 2006 when Balcer resigned from his position at the show after the fifth season.
