Show Lo began his life in Keelung City, Taiwan. His paternal grandparents emigrated to Taiwan from China, and his mother is an Amis, a native Taiwanese aboriginal person. His parents raised him alone while working odd jobs to put food on the table. They were in the entertainment business, with his father as a presenter and his mother as a singer, and they specialized in shows for small, local occasions like weddings. The show took part in these variety shows as early as age 3, when he played the drums live onstage.
As a small boy, Show weighed more than 100 kilos, earning him the nickname Xiao Zhu. After being taunted by his peers because of his size, he made up his mind to take action and make a change. Show lost 20 pounds and reached 80 kg in just two months by swimming and playing basketball every day during the summer after his first year of middle school.
While attending middle school, Show joined a street dance crew and competed in numerous dance competitions in Taiwan. Although he was accepted into Taipei Hwa Kang Arts School after an audition, he was only able to attend for one semester because his family could not pay the tuition. When he got back to Keelung, he enrolled in the media production class at Pei De High School. Show Lo is a performer, actor, and host from Taiwan. His moniker is Xiao Zhu, and it has stuck. Lo is famous for his hilarious skits and infectious dance music. As of the beginning of June 2018, he has over 50 million followers on the Weibo platform, a Chinese microblogging service.
Show After originally making his name as a member of a Taiwanese boy group in 1996, Lo went on to start a solo career with the release of his debut studio album Show Time in 2003. Each new record he released was a commercial success, and from 2010 through 2013 he held the title of best-selling album of the year in Taiwan. In 2005, he was the first pop singer to perform at Taipei Arena, and in 2010, he was the first pop singer to do three concerts in the same venue within twenty-four hours.
There have been four world tours by May of 2018. For over two and a half years, starting in 2010, he performed in forty-two different cities to an estimated 600,000 fans. Lo is a native Japanese speaker who debuted his first Japanese EP, Dante, in 2012.
Show Lo is also a popular TV personality and performer in addition to his singing career. Since 2001, he has presided over 100% Entertainment. In 2017, he and his co-host Linda Chien won the 52nd Golden Bell Award for Best Host for a Variety Show for their work on 100% Entertainment. He is also well-known for his roles as a judge on China’s Produce 101 and Street Dance of China, and as a cast member on the hit reality show Go Fighting!
Show Three separate times, Lo was considered for the Golden Bell Award for Best Male Actor. When director Stephen Chow was casting the supporting part of Prince Important in his 2013 smash hit Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons, he cast none other than Lo. In The Mermaid, released in 2016, Chow selected Lo once again as a supporting character, this time as Octopus, and compared his comedic talent onscreen to a powerful explosion. The film’s performance at the Chinese box office was unprecedented.
Show Lo launched his STAGE fashion label in 2006, and it has now expanded to Hong Kong and Singapore. The STAGE apparel brand is frequently seen on Taiwanese variety shows because the company sponsors many popular performers.
Show Lou continued his solo music career and made some attempts to break into the acting world; his first film role, in the critically acclaimed “Expect A Miracle,” helped boost his fortune. He kept going in the same vein, eventually landing a starring role on the TV show “Do You” in 2004. In addition, Lou has been cast as a prominent character in the upcoming 2016 film The Mermaid, and he has previously participated in the TV series “Lan Qiu Huo”.
The show has proven that he is talented in other areas as well; in 2003, Avex Taiwan released his debut album, named “Show Time,” which showcased his musical abilities. After that, his career as a singer took off to new heights. The following year, Luo released an album named “Expert Show,” in which the song “Lian Ai Da Ren” was a collaboration with the Chinese singer and actress Xio S. With the release of his debut song “Dante” in Japan via Pony Canyon in February 2012 and his debut album “The Show” in September of the same year, Lou’s wealth skyrocketed in the years that followed.
