Robert Frederick Smith, an American businessman, was born on December 1, 1962. He is currently the chairman and chief executive officer of Vista Equity Partners, an investment firm he founded that has approximately $26 billion in assets as of September 2016. Smith canceled more than $34 million in student and parent loan debt.
