Mr. Warburton Bio

Thomas Edward “Tom” Warburton, best known by his stage name Mr. Warburton, was born on July 23, 1968. He is a character designer, animator, producer, and screenwriter from the United States of America. The animated television series Codename: Kids Next Door is by far his most notable contribution to the world of television. In addition, he was the creator of the animated short film Kenny and the Chimp.

Before that, he worked as a production designer on the first season of Beavis and Butthead and the primary character designer for the animated series Pepper Ann. In addition, he was responsible for designing the characters for the show. In addition to that, he is the author of the book the title “A Thousand Times No.”As of 2009, he has been working at Disney Television Animation, where he has held positions such as creative director on Fish Hooks, co-executive producer on The 7D, and executive producer on Muppet Babies. He moved to Los Angeles in 2009.

Following the completion of his studies at Kutztown University, Mr. Warburton relocated to New York City to begin working at Buzzco Associates. Vincent Cafarelli and Candy Kugel, both of whom have extensive experience in the animation industry in New York City, largely took on commercial work to assist in the funding of their independent projects, such as the award-winning short film A Warm Reception in Los Angeles.

From the bottom up, Warburton was able to understand the fundamentals of animation production. Additionally, he had the opportunity to acquire friendships with a large number of individuals working in the field. Following his employment at Buzzco Associates, Warburton moved to Jumbo Pictures, where he was hired as an assistant layout artist for the first season of the new sitcom Doug, which was produced by Nickelodeon.

In the same year that Rugrats and The Ren & Stimpy program made their debut, this program was one of the first to introduce a new creator-driven approach to the craft of cartoon production. Additionally, Warburton was responsible for providing assisting animation for the show’s closing credits sequence. It was during his time at JJSP that Warburton worked as a freelancer, assisting Sue Rose in the creation of characters for a series about a girl called Pepper Ann who was eccentric and inventive.

Early on, Nickelodeon was the company responsible for the show’s production; however, Disney Television Animation ultimately decided to bring it up for a series. Even though the production was situated in Los Angeles, Warburton continued to reside in New York City, where he worked as the primary character designer and faxed his sketches before bed.

The television show took place on Disney’s One Saturday Morning block for a total of five seasons. Warburton eventually decided to leave JJSP to focus entirely on Pepper Ann and to create his initiatives. Kenny and the Chimp was an animated series that Warburton had wanted to develop but never got around to doing. It was about a child called Kenny who was often followed by a chimpanzee named Chimpy, who was clever but not very bright. Chimpy would frequently cause Kenny a lot of problems in the different circumstances that they encountered together.

The episode “Disease Does It” was the only one that was produced, and it was produced by Hanna-Barbera himself. “Chimp-N-Pox” was another name for it that alternated. Additionally, Warburton performed the voice for the chef in that particular short. “Got Your Nose” is the name of another episode that was supposed to be created but was never made available to the public. But it was never made available.

Warburton started developing the recurrent characters, the Kids Next Door, into a series once he saw that Cartoon Network was not going to turn Kenny and the Chimp into a series. The Kids Next Door is a gang of youngsters who would often get Kenny into trouble. Instead of just being five troublemakers, the five children found themselves transformed into a “multi-ethnic team of experts battling against evil adult super-villains bent on raising the drinking age of soda to 13 and making Summer school year round.”

Because Cartoon Network had requested a pilot, Warburton relocated to Los Angeles to film the short at the Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, which had only recently opened its doors. There was a conspiracy involving the KND to halt the continuous adult swim at the local swimming pool, which was patrolled by lifeguards named Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb. These lifeguards were largely modeled on Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, who appeared in the 1971 James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever.

In addition, the character Professor XL, who appeared in the episode “Disease Does It,” also became a recurrent character in the episode “Kids Next Door.” “No P in the Ool” is the title of the pilot episode of Codename: Kids Next Door, and it features a short cameo appearance by both Kenny and Chimpy. While Mo Willems was in the process of beginning the second season of his series Sheep in the Big City on Cartoon Network, he approached Warburton with the idea of joining Curious Pictures, which is situated in New York City, as a director.

They discovered that they were able to work effectively together and that they were able to benefit from each other’s unique and complementary skills. It turned out that the second season of Sheep was the last, and this led to the cancellation of the series. This occurred at the same time as Codename: Kids Next Door was selected as the winner of Cartoon Network’s Big Pick Weekend in 2001 and given the go-ahead to become a series.
