Gemma Jones Bio

Jones’s mother, Irene, and her father, Griffith Jones, both worked in the acting industry. Jones was born in Marylebone. Her brother Nicholas Jones also worked in the acting industry. She received the gold medal while studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art which she attended. The cancer charity Latch assists families with day-to-day expenses such as food, transportation, mortgage and rent payments, and home utilities. Additionally, it has helped Gemma with the fees associated with her travel. According to Menai Owen-Jones, the chief executive of the organization, “Each year we work with approximately 120 families, and in the previous year we distributed nearly £300,000 worth of grants to families.”
