American hip-hop recording artist and rapper John David Jackson is better known by his stage name, Fabolous. He was born and raised in the United States. It was when he was still in high school that he made his professional debut, performing live on the radio program of an American record producer named DJ Clue.
Once DJ Clue had him sign with his record company ‘Desert Storm,’ he went on to release his first album, which was titled ‘Ghetto Fabolous,’ and it debuted in the number four spot on the US Billboard 200. The smash songs “Young’n” and “Can’t Deny It” were both featured on the album. His subsequent album, which was titled “Street Dreams,” was also very successful. It sold more than one million copies and reached its highest place on the US Billboard 200 chart.
He maintained his level of popularity throughout the course of his career by delivering a string of successful albums and singles. Fabolous’s personal life has not been an ideal one, despite the fact that his professional career is well-established and successful. He has had multiple run-ins with the authorities, and at one point he was arrested for owning a firearm without the appropriate license. Also, the allegations of domestic abuse were made against him by his spouse.
John David Jackson, better known by his stage name Fabolous, was born in New York City on November 18th, 1977. He comes from the Dominican Republic as well as the United States of America. Although he was still in high school, he launched a career in hip-hop music and quickly became successful. DJ Clue, an American record producer, is the one who introduced him to the opportunity to rap on a music program.
Later on, he also had a performance on the radio station known as “Hot 97” in New York City. Upon his signing with DJ Clue’s record company, Desert Storm Records, which led to his inclusion on a number of the label’s mixtapes, he finally became a member of the group. Ghetto Fabolous, the first studio album released by Fabolous, was made available for purchase on September 11, 2001. The album was a commercial success, and in the first week it was available, it sold 140,000 copies. It also made its debut in the top four on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.
It includes the hit songs “Can’t Deny It,” which peaked at number 25 on the US Hot 100 list, and “Young’n,” which peaked at number 33 on the same chart. In 2003, he released his second studio album, which was titled “Street Dreams.” The record only achieved moderate financial success. It was able to move 185,000 copies in its first week, which propelled it to the third spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. Its most commercially successful singles were titled “Can’t Let You Go” and “Into You.” Both of these songs reached their highest place on the US Hot 100 list at number four, and they also entered the charts in a number of other nations.
In the same year, he also released ‘More Street Dreams, Part. 2: The Mixtape,’ which was the title of his very first official mixtape. In 2004, he released his third studio album, titled “Real Talk.” It was a commercial success, peaking at number six on the US Billboard 200, much like his other albums, and it was released in the year 2013. By the end of the year, it had surpassed the 550,000 copy mark in terms of sales.
The album included the successful singles “Breathe,” which peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and “Baby,” which peaked at position 71 on the same chart. Both songs were included on the album. After that, he worked with Christina Milian on the song “Dip It Low,” which was included on the singer’s second studio album. It reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States, and it was also recognized with a nomination for a Grammy Award in the category of “Best Rap Collaboration.”
His subsequent studio albums were titled ‘From Nothing to Something’ and ‘Loso’s Way,’ and they were both released in the years 2007 and 2009, respectively. Both albums had commercial success, with the former reaching its highest place on the US Billboard 200 chart at position number two, and the latter reaching its highest position at number one. The year 2014 saw the release of his album titled “The Young OG Project.”
With hits like “Lituation,” “We Good,” and “You Created Me,” the album was able to achieve the number 12 spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. In 2017, he released his next studio album, titled “Friday on Elm Street,” on which he worked along with an American rapper by the name of Jadakiss. On the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, it peaked at number 10. It included songs like “Stand Up,” “Ground Up,” and “Principle,” amongst others.
The hip-hop artist Fabolous made his acting debut in the cameo role of a supporting character in the 2004 horror comedy film Scary Movie 4. The movie, which David Zucker directed, was a big financial success at the box office. It was produced at a budget of $40 million but ended in earning more than four times that amount.
In the movie “Loso’s Way: The Movie,” which was released in 2009, he was cast as the main character. In addition to that, he was the screenwriter for the movie. In the 2012 sequel “Loso’s Way 2: The Movie,” in which he also worked as the writer, he brought back the character he had played in the first film. In addition to that, you may have seen him on television in series like “Wild N Out” and “The Untitled Action Bronson Show.”
The third studio album released by Fabolous is titled “Real Talk,” and it is widely regarded as one of the artist’s most successful efforts. The album succeeded well financially, and it peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 list in the United States, despite the negative reception it received from the reviewers. It included tunes such as “Baby,” “Can You Hear Me,” “Do the Damn Thing,” and “Breathe,” among others.
