Edward John Eddie Izzard is a stand-up comedian and actor from the United Kingdom. He was birth on February 7, 1962. Her comedic performance is characterized by meandering, quirky monologues and pantomimes referencing herself.

Izzard and his student companion, Rob Ballard, first experimented with comedy while enrolled at the University of Sheffield. Following their departure from the accounting industry, Izzard and Ballard put their act on the road, performing often in Covent Garden. After his relationship with Ballard ended, Izzard spent a significant portion of the early 1980s traveling across Europe and the United States. A seat performer claims that they honed their humorous voice by conversing with the audience during solo escape performances, contributing to developing their comedic voice. Izzard then took their act to several stand-up comedy clubs around Britain, with their debut performance taking place at the Banana Cabaret in Balham, located in London.

Izzard has appeared in several movies, the first of which was 1996’s The Secret Agent. He has also played real-life people like Charlie Chaplin in The Cat’s Meow, actor Gustav von Wangenheim in Shadow of the Vampire, and General Erich Fellgiebel in Valkyrie. His film credits begin with 1996’s The Secret Agent. Other parts he has played include Lussurioso in Revengers Tragedy, Mr. Kite in Across the Universe, and criminal expert Roman Nagel in Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen.
Izzard has provided his voice for various characters, including “It” from the movie Five Children and It, Nigel from The Wild, and Reepicheep, a mouse warrior from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Izzard was one of the actors who starred in the 2009 BBC science fiction miniseries The Day of the Triffids, adapted from the book written in 1951. Izzard portrayed Robert Watson-Watt, the man who devised aircraft-detecting radar technology in time for the Battle of Britain, in the BBC drama film Castles in the Sky, which was released in 2014. Izzard performed the role in 2014.
Izzard appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Book of the Week program in June 2017, when they read passages from their book Believe Me.
