Donald Trump Bio

A politician, media personality, and businessman from the United States, Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946. He is currently serving as the 45th President of the United States of America, a position he held from 2017 to 2021. In 1968, Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. In 1971, his father appointed him to the position of president of the real estate firm that he owned.

Trump changed the name of the firm to the Trump Organization and refocused it on the construction and renovation of buildings, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Following a string of unsuccessful economic endeavors in the latter part of the twentieth century, he emerged victorious in launching side companies that needed a small amount of cash, mostly via the licensing of the Trump brand. He was a co-producer of the reality television series The Apprentice and served as the host of the show from 2004 to 2015.

Throughout more than 4,000 state and federal court proceedings, along with six company bankruptcies, he and his companies have been either plaintiffs or defendants in these cases. Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party, defeated Hillary Clinton, the nominee of the Democratic Party, in the presidential election of 2016, even though Trump received a lower percentage of the popular vote.[a] [a] His political beliefs were characterized as populist, protectionist, isolationist, and nationalist when he was running for electoral office.

His election and ideas aroused a great deal of opposition. He was the first president of the United States to have no previous experience in either the military or administration. During the inquiry that took place between 2017 and 2019, the special counsel found evidence that Russia had intervened in the election of 2016 to support Trump’s campaign. The degree to which Trump propagated conspiracy theories and made several claims that were both incorrect and deceptive throughout his campaigns and administration was unmatched in the history of American politics.

His remarks and behaviors have been criticized as being racially tinged or racist, and many of them have also been labeled as being sexist. In his capacity as president, Trump issued an order prohibiting travel for people of certain countries with a predominantly Muslim population, redirected military funds toward the construction of a wall along the border between the United States and Mexico, and instituted a program that separated families of migrants who were arrested at the United States border.

His actions resulted in the weakening of environmental safeguards, including the rollback of over one hundred environmental policies and regulations. In 2017, he gave his signature to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which reduced taxes for both people and corporations. Additionally, the Affordable Care Act’s penalty for failing to maintain health insurance coverage for individuals was repealed. He appointed Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, and Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court of the United States.

His response to the COVID-19 epidemic was delayed, he disregarded or rejected numerous suggestions from health authorities, he utilized political pressure to interfere with testing efforts, and he promoted falsehoods about therapies that no one had demonstrated to be effective. Trump began a trade war with China and withdrew the United States from the planned trade pact for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Paris pact on climate change, and the Iran nuclear deal. Both of these events occurred simultaneously.

He had three meetings with Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, but he did not make any headway in the disarmament process. After losing the presidential election in 2020 to Joe Biden, Trump refused to accept. He falsely claimed that there was widespread electoral fraud, and he sought to reverse the results by exerting pressure on government officials, launching a large number of failed court challenges, and blocking the handover of power from one president to the next.

A large number of his followers assaulted the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, which resulted in several fatalities and disrupted the tally of electoral votes. He had encouraged his supporters to march on the Capitol from January 6, 2021. It is only President Trump who has been impeached twice in the history of the United States. The House of Representatives impeached him for abuse of authority and obstruction of Congress in 2019, after he attempted to exert pressure on Ukraine to investigate Vice President Joe Biden.

The Senate decided to exonerate him in February of the year 2020. In January 2021, the House of Representatives once again impeached him for inciting an uprising; however, the Senate ultimately decided to exonerate him in February of the same year. Trump is considered by academics and historians to be among the worst presidents in the history of the United States. Trump has continued to maintain a significant level of involvement in the Republican Party even after he left office.

It was in November of 2022 that he announced that he would be running for the Republican nomination in the presidential election of 2024. The year 2023 saw the indictment of President Trump in the state of New York on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, in the state of Florida on 40 felony counts related to his mishandling of classified documents, and in the District of Columbia on four felony counts of conspiracy and obstruction for efforts to overturn the presidential election of 2020.

Trump attended Sunday school and served as a confirmed member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens, in the year 1959. Marble Collegiate Church in Manhattan, which is a member of the Reformed Church in America, was the place where his parents became members in the 1970s.In the years leading up to his passing in 1993, Norman Vincent Peale, the pastor at Marble, provided pastoral care to the family. Trump has referred to him as a guide or instructor.

The church acknowledged in 2015 that Trump was not an active member of the congregation. President Trump nominated Paula White, a televangelist and his pastor, to the position of public liaison in the White House in the year 2019. In the year 2020, he said that he considered himself to be a Christian who did not adhere to any one denomination. The President of the United States has referred to golf as his “primary form of exercise,” yet he does not often walk the course.
