Young Thug is the stage name that rapper Jeffery Lamar Williams uses professionally. Williams is an American. He spent his childhood in the thick of criminal activity. His older brother was murdered in front of him, and another of his brothers is now imprisoned after being convicted of the killing of another person. Up to the sixth grade, he was educated in the primary school system. Following the incident in which he broke his teacher’s arm, he was dismissed from school and sentenced to serve four years in a juvenile correctional center. In addition to all of his other misfortunes, Young made the remark that he intended to devote his debut album to Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne was not happy about this, and the dispute was eventually resolved in court.
After that, Young decided to release a mixtape rather than an album and gave it the name “Barter 6.” He eventually changed the name of the mixtape to “HiTunes” and published it under the “Atlantic” record label. After the release, he met with Kayne, who expressed his admiration for Young’s one-of-a-kind approach and even drew parallels to Bob Marley. Young was flattered by Kayne’s comments. They made the announcement in 2015 that they will work on an album together, although they have not yet settled on a release date.
In 2016, Young released his first “extended play,” or EP, which was titled “I’m Up,” and it once again reached number one on the music charts in the United States. After that, he went on to produce another mix tape called “Slime Season 3,” which put an end to the controversy surrounding the leaked CD. Around the middle of the year, he coordinated a tour in the United States in support of his mixtape titled “HiTunes,” which featured performances by “Rich the Kid,” “TM88,” and “Dae Dae.” During the tour, he rose to the level of fashion icon and was included in the Calvin Klein fall collection 2016 catalog.
He is now working on creating a mixtape that will be titled “Jeffrey,” and he has plans to create his own record label which will be named “YSL Records” sometime in the near future. Record label offers have been piling up. During his teenage years, he formed some poor habits. He started gambling, much like his brothers, and he liked the excitement that came with taking chances. Soon after, he became violent and became addicted to drugs.
At the age of seventeen, he became a parent to a child of his own. Around this time, he began to become aware of the musical and lyrical abilities he had, namely rapping. At that same moment, he had the epiphany that he was not going to continue living a life of destitution any longer.
