Terrance Quinn, who would later become Terry O’Quinn, was born in 15 July 1952 (age 71 years), Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, United States the War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, under the name Terry O’Quinn. He was one of 11 children born to Irish American parents.

Both Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, were among the educational institutions that he attended. Because another registered actor also went by Terrance Quinn, he changed his surname from Quinn to O’Quinn.

In the 1970s, when Terry was a student at Central Michigan University, he started his acting career. He was also a talented author and director, in addition to being a great performer.
