Willa Ford Bio

Willa Ford is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, model, television personality, and film actor. She was born Amanda Lee Williford on January 22, 1981; however, she is better known by her stage name, Willa Ford. Willa Was Here, her first studio album, was published in the year 2001. In addition to acting, Ford has acted in films including “Friday the 13th” (2009), hosted multiple reality television shows, modeled for the magazine “Playboy,” and been a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC.

Ruskin, Florida is where Ford spent his childhood. When she was eight years old, she started singing with the Tampa Bay Children’s Choir. She joined Entertainment Revue, a children’s performing arts group based in Tampa when she was 11 years old and began singing with the group. She received her high school education from the East Bay High School in Gibsonton, Florida.

In 1999, when Ford was just 18 years old, she began her career as a musician under the stage name Mandah and was signed to MCA. After some time, Ford was signed by Atlantic Records instead of remaining with MCA. One of Ford’s tracks, “Lullaby,” was selected to be included on the soundtrack for Pokémon: The First Movie by Atlantic. Willa Ford used to perform under the name Mandah, but she changed it so that people wouldn’t confuse her with Mandy Moore.

She was one of the opening performers for the “Into the Millennium” tour that the Backstreet Boys put on in the year 2000. While on a mall tour for Nautica Kids in 2001, Ford signed a recording contract with a new record label called Lava Atlantic Records. The majority of Ford’s first album’s lyrics were written by Ford herself, and she also functioned as the album’s executive producer. Willa Was Here was finally made available to the public on July 17, 2001. On the album was a single called “I Wanna Be Bad” that featured Royce da 5’9″ as a guest rapper.

Willa Was Here debuted at position 56 on the Billboard 200 chart and went on to sell around 200,000 copies.[source: missing citation] The next year, Ford issued a second single from the album titled “Did Ya’ Understand That,” but it was not successful in attracting much notice. Later, she explained the cause, stating that the song had been released on September 11, 2001, the day of the terrible tragedy and that it had been damaged. The song “Ooh Ooh” was issued as a promotional single, but it did not achieve commercial success either.

During the time that she was promoting the record, Ford served as a spokeswoman for the ProVoice campaign that was run by Pantene Pro-V. In addition, she was in the music video for Uncle Kracker’s song “In A Little While.” In addition, Ford went on to host episodes of MTV’s TRL and Say What Karaoke as a guest host, which ultimately led to a hosting deal with Viacom. The Morning After and I Bet You Will were two of Ford’s reality shows that he hosted on MTV. In addition, Ford collaborated with Park Ji-Yoon, a popular singer from South Korea, to write and record a duet in the year 2001. On Park’s fifth studio album, named Man, the song was titled “Nastified,” and it was included.

The year 2003 saw the publication of a song by Ford titled “A Toast to Men.” This song, which featured a guest performance by the rapper Lady May, was used in daytime advertisements for many soap operas. The song is taken from her upcoming second album, Sexysexobsessive, which was formerly known as Porn Poetry. The album has not yet been released. The song “Sexysexobsessive,” which serves as the album’s title track, was supposed to be the second single, but it was only made available on Ford’s official website.

She participated as a guest doll in Pussycat Dolls’ presentation at the club in Las Vegas from 2005 to 2006, during which time she was there. In 2010, she teamed with Riley Smith on the recording of her first song since 2003, titled “All This Time,” which was posted online. In 2011, Ford gave a concert at The Viper Room in Los Angeles, which marked the beginning of her return to the music industry.

During the concert, she debuted her first song under her own name since 2003, titled “Back Back Back.” Willa Ford, Eve Nelson, and Ray Cervenka released their song “Rock Tonight” in 2014, in which she was included as a guest vocalist. A bully by the name of Edie was the character that Ford played in an episode of the short-lived television sitcom Raising Dad that aired in 2002. The first season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter aired on Spike TV in 2005, and Ford was the host of that season.

Following the conclusion of the concert, Ford was offered a position as a summer guest performer for The Pussycat Dolls’ shows in Las Vegas and accepted the offer. Later, Ford was highlighted as the celebrity for the month of June on the pin-up calendar that was produced by FHM in 2005. During the first few months of 2006, Ford participated in the Lingerie Bowl as one of the four celebrity quarterbacks.

The game was broadcast during the halftime show of Super Bowl XL. Later that same year, she was featured in a nude pictorial that was published in Playboy magazine’s March 2006 issue. Later on in that same year, the supplement titled 101 Sexiest Online Women published by Stuff magazine ranked her as No. 48. Ford participated in the third season of Dancing with the Stars, which aired in the fall of 2006. In the fifth week of the competition, both Ford and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, were eliminated from the competition. In the January 2007 issue of Maxim, she shared her story of working with the publication.

On the 31st of January, 2007, Ford made an appearance in an episode of My Celebrity Home that was shown on the Style Network. Additionally, she served as the host of Fuse TV’s Pants-Off Dance-Off for its third season. The episode of MTV Cribs that featured Ford and her then-husband, the NHL hockey player Mike Modano, aired on August 23, 2007, and may be viewed here. Friday the 13th was a horror film that was released in 2009 and starred Ford. In the movie Universal Squadrons, which was released directly to home video, Ford performed the role of Becca. The film debuted at the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival in the year 2010.
