Bio

The country music artist Trace Adkins originally gained notoriety with his first track, “There’s a Girl in Texas.” Due to the extraordinary success of his initial business endeavour, he created the album “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” which was a significant smash on the charts. He has released seven studio albums and two “Greatest Hits” collections in his almost two-decade career. While the majority of his recordings have charted on the Billboard country music charts, the number-one hits for him were “No Thinkin’ Thing” from 1997, “Ladies Love Country Boys” from 2007, and “You’re Gonna Miss This” from 2008.

Along with being a well-known country artist, he has also had success in the acting world, making cameos and supporting appearances in a variety of movies and television programmes. Additionally, he was the victor of “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2013. Aaron Adkins and Peggy Carraway welcomed Trace Adkins into the world on January 13, 1962 in Sarepta, Webster Parish, north Louisiana. His father worked at a mill.

He started working on an oil rig before even finishing his diploma. Unfortunately, he cut himself opening a pail with a knife and lost his little finger as a result. Unconcerned, he requested that the surgeon connect the finger so that he may go on playing the guitar. In 2003, he released two albums in response—”Comin’ on Strong” and a compilation of his greatest hits. The latter generated two singles, “Hot Mama” and “rough & Ready,” which respectively peaked at No. 5 and No. 13, as opposed to the former’s one song, “Then They Do.” In the television series “Yes, Dear,” he played the jail inmate Curtis in 2004.

He also portrayed Elvin Mackleston in the television series “King of the Hill.” From the album “X,” he released the song “Muddy Waters” in 2008. The Top 20 singles “Marry for Money” and “All I Ask For Anymore,” both of which peaked at No. 14, were included on the album. He parted ways with Capitol Nashville in 2010 to get into a deal with Show Dog Universal Music. This Ain’t No Love Song, his first single for the label, was made public in May 2010. This particular song served as the first single from his next studio album, “Cowboy’s Back in Town.” The album debuted in the charts at position No. 54.

His third compilation album, “The Definitive Greatest Hits Til’ The Last Shot’s Fired,” was released in 2010. He has also performed the National Anthem at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. He has appeared in “Lifted,” “Tough Trade,” and “Ace of Cakes” among other movies and television shows. His eleventh studio album, “Proud to Be Here,” was released in 2011. He played Eddie Vogel in the movie “The Lincoln Lawyer” that same year.

He released two albums in 2013: “Love Will..” and “The King’s Gift,” his first holiday album. Additionally, he created the compilation CD “Icon.” He played himself in the 12 episodes of “All Stars Celebrity Apprentice” the same year, where he competed and ultimately won.Returning to his singing career, he issued the album “Songs About Me” in 2005. While its debut song, “Arlington,” sparked debate, its follow-up, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” became a massive crossover success. His song made its debut appearance in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40.He appeared in three television shows in 2005, including “Higglytown Heroes,” “Blue Collar TV,” and “My Name Is Earl.”

He released his seventh studio album, “Dangerous Man,” in 2006. The second song, “Ladies Love Country Boys,” debuted at No. 1 on the country charts while the first single, “Swing,” peaked at No. 20. His song hit number one for a second time with the release of the single “No Thinkin’ Thing” in 1997.He released the track “I Got My Game On” in 2007. The song, which was planned to serve as the first single for a new album, ended up serving as the opening track for his second Greatest Hits collection, “American Man: Greatest Hits, Vol. 2.”

The second single from the album, “You’re Gonna Miss his,” was subsequently released. The song became his fastest-climbing single and peaked at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart. Additionally, it continued on to rank in the Top 12 of the Billboard Hot 100 and the Top 19 of the Billboard Pop 100. It reached at position eight on the Hot Digital Songs chart. His first book, “A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Free Thinking Roughneck,” was published in 2007.He appeared in two major motion pictures in 2008: “Trailer Park of Terror” as “The Man” and “An American Carol” as “Angel of Death.” Additionally, he appeared in one of the episodes of “The Young and the Restless” on television.

He appeared in 16 episodes of the TV program “Celebrity Apprentice” from 2008 to 2011. He portrayed a celebrity candidate who placed second in the first season. He provided the vocal for a KFC ad series in 2003. He even made his acting debut on television, playing Big John in the hit show “King of the Hill.” Additionally, he appeared in “Hollywood Squares.”He played at honky tonk establishments in and around Nashville, Tennessee, in the early 1990s. He was discovered during these years by a Capitol executive, who signed him to the label.

This excellent artist earned his breakthrough in 1996 when his track “There’s a Girl in Texas” was released. The song was a huge smash and peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Track charts. After his initial single became an instant hit, he later 1996 published his debut album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud.” The album was a huge smash, and his songs all peaked at number one, replicating the success of his first music track.

His second project, named “Big Time,” was launched in response to the popularity of his initial album. The album was unable to continue the great success his last album had seen, with the exception of one song, “The Rest of Mine,” which peaked at No. 5 on the charts. He released his third album, “More…,” in 1999. The album’s destiny was similar to that of its predecessor, with the exception that neither the title single nor the album were certified gold.

In 2001, he published his fourth album, “Chrome,” after an unintentional blunder. With its title tune ranking in the Top 10, it became the first album to achieve Top 5 status on the country album charts. Adkins became interested in music from a young age. During his formative years, his father taught him the fundamentals of playing the guitar. He developed a passion for music as a result of his musical instruction.

He graduated from a high school where he was a part of the gospel ensemble New Commitments and finished his official schooling. Additionally, he belonged to the Future Farmers of America. After finishing elementary school, he applied to Louisiana Tech University. He participated on the university’s football team as a defensive end for the Bulldogs.
