Steve Howey was born on July 12, 1977. His family in San Antonio, Texas, is a well-established and devout Christian. He was born and raised in the United States, and he is a committed Christian. Steven Michael Robert Howey is the full name of the American actor and model Steve Howey.  His role as Ben Montgomery on the popular TV show Reba catapulted him to fame.

He’s been married to co-star Sarah Shahi on “Reba” for a while now, and the couple has three kids. They were thrust into the center of a scandal when their nanny sued them for religious discrimination, verbal abuse, and sexual harassment. Both of Steve’s parents were in the Navy, so he spent a good chunk of his boyhood on boats off the West Coast. Steve was a brilliant athlete who ultimately opted to pursue acting, and he worked as a waitress at a Colorado restaurant named Grady’s American Kitchen before moving to Denver in the late ’90s.

Steve’s acting debut came the year after he produced his father’s indie film “Class,” in which his father also had a prominent role. This film was selected for the Denver International Film Festival. Steve voiced Chris DeFalco, Quarterback Elizey, and Drew Carey in a few episodes of the syndicated animated program Totally Tooned In the year 2000. He also made a brief appearance in an episode of the police drama Pacific Blue in 1999.

While Steve and his ‘Reba’ co-star Joanna Garcia starred in Reba McEntire’s music video for “Every Other Weekend,” he is best known for his part as “Van Montgomery,” a dimwitted yet prolific football player, in 125 episodes of the show.

In the 2005 action film “Supercross,” Steve played ‘MX’ racer KC Carlyle; in the 2006 martial arts action film “DOA: Dead or Alive,” Steve played “Weatherby”; in the 2009 romantic black comedy “Bride Wars,” Steve played the underachieving video rental store employee “Daniel Williams;” and in the same year, Steve played the title role in the horror-comedy parody film “Stan Helsing.” Steve also made an appearance in “Still Waiting…” in the same year, using the alias “Agnew.”
