Bio

One of the most well-known American wrestlers of all time is Steven James Williams, well known by his ring as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Austin, a wrestler who is also an actor and a TV broadcaster, has since left the sport. He did, however, hold 19 titles during his time in the wrestling industry, including six World Wrestling Federation titles, two Intercontinental titles, four WCF tag team titles, two United States Heavyweight Championships for World Championship Wrestling, and two WCW World Television titles. He began his wrestling career in 1991 with the “WCW,” and the “WWF,” now known as “World Wrestling Entertainment”, quickly signed him. When he became the face of “WWE” in the 1990s, he became well-known to the general public. He became quite well-known all over the world thanks to his anti-hero image of a beer-drinking, power-disregarding anti-hero.

His famous maneuver, the “Stone Cold Stunner,” still earns him the moniker “The Texas Rattlesnake,” and it never fails to leave audiences in awe. His career was at its height when a string of injuries forced Austin to retire in 2003. He has been in movies like “The Expendables” and “The Condemned” as an actor. Steven James Anderson was born on December 18, 1964, in Austin, Texas. When his parents, James and Beverly Anderson, divorced, he was about a year old. Steve made his professional wrestling debut in a 1989 World Class Championship Wrestling match against Frogman LeBlanc. Steve lived in his car while touring the country and won up to $20 every bout. After finally signing up, he used the moniker “Stunning” and joined “WCW.” In 1991, he made his “WCW” debut, beating Bobby Eaton and taking home his first “WCW World Television Championship.”

He joined “The Dangerous Alliance,” which Paul E formed but soon disbanded. Austin had been defending his championship until Ricky Steamboat eventually defeated him.He joined forces with Brian Pillman in 1993 to form the tag team known as “The Hollywood Blonds.” Additionally, they took home the “WCW Tag Team Championship,” which they held for five months. He left the “ECW” and joined the “WWF.” On January 8, 1996, he made his ‘WWF debut on ‘Raw,’ when he received the ‘Million Dollar Championship. The very next day, Austin did, however, declare his retirement on “WWE.” He acknowledged that he had pushed his body beyond its recommended limits.

He slipped into his non-wrestling role as the “Sheriff” of “Raw” from 2003 to 2004. Austin finally left “WWE” after spending some time on and off the screen. In 2005, Austin made his movie debut with “The Longest Yard.” His other famous movies include “The Condemned,” “The Expendables,” “Grown Ups 2,” and “Finders Keepers”.

In “Smosh: The Movie,” where he played himself, he made his most recent film appearance. In “V.I.P.,” he made his TV debut playing himself.’Raw’s 25th anniversary, in January 2018, was his most recent performance. He stunned Vince and Shane McMahon with a “Stone Cold Stunner.”On January 15, he faced Matt Hardy in his first match. Hardy was defeated in the game.

He began wrestling under the name “The Ringmaster,” but eventually went by “Stone Cold,” shaving his head and growing a goatee. In 1996, Austin defeated Jake “The Snake” Roberts in the “King of the Ring” contest. The start of the “Attitude Era,” which launched him on the path to popularity, was signalled by the term “Austin 3:16” he used in his promo versus Jake. The Hart family was the subject of one of his longest-lasting conflicts.Bret Hart eventually agreed to Austin’s challenge for a fight, which started the feud. They engaged in a number of fights, but the submission match at “Wrestlemania 13” stands out.

Hart defeated Austin after he pulled a sharpshooter on him while Austin was unconscious. Austin bled excessively but resisted having anyone help him to his locker room.Later, he also got into a fight with Owen Hart. He had the chance to capture both the Intercontinental Championship and the WWF Tag Team Championship. However, he was forced to forfeit both crowns because of an injury. His other well-known disputes involved Triple H, The Rock, and Vince McMahon. He gained several more titles and four federation championships as a result of these fights.

His final official contest was against The Rock at “Wrestlemania XIX” in 2003. The Rock won the bout, which he lost. On the following episode of “Raw,” Eric Bischoff dismissed him as part of the plot. After Pillman recovered from an injury at “Clash of the Champions XXV,” Steve turned the tables on him. The “WCW United States Heavyweight Championship” was afterwards won by him.

He was quickly let go by “WCW” vice president Eric Bischoff because he did not think he was a particularly good wrestler after he lost the title to Jim Duggan. He began competing in “Extreme Championship Wrestling”  in 1995, where he honed his “Stone Cold” persona and learned how to deliver a punchline. For his ability to cut a promo, he gives credit to Paul Heyman. He also used the “Whipper-Snapper,” Mikey Whipwreck’s finishing manoeuvre, and later popularised it as the “Stone Cold Stunner.”

Dutch Mantell, a booker, gave him the moniker “Steve Austin” to prevent any confusion with “Dr. Death” Steve Williams, who was then extremely well-known. Austin quickly became a member of the “United States Wrestling Association”, which he later resigned in order to return to Dallas and start a conflict with Chris Adams. His mother then married Ken Williams after being divorced. Austin altered his identity to “Steven James Williams” and took on his stepfather’s last name.

Three brothers share his family: Scott, Kevin, and Jeff. He also has a sister named Jennifer who is younger.Steve attended “Edna High School” and spent the majority of his boyhood there in Edna, Texas. He received a scholarship to play football at “Wharton County Junior College.”He received a full scholarship to attend the “University of North Texas.” He soon left, nonetheless, in order to work on a loading dock in Houston, Texas. He enlisted at the “Dallas Sportatorium” in 1989 after discovering a genuine enthusiasm for wrestling. Chris Adams served as his trainer, and a year later he made his professional wrestling debut.
