Shalita Grant was born on August 28, 1988, in Petersburg, Virginia. We know little about her early life or parents, except that her mom supported her acting dreams. Since she was young, Shalita had the desire to develop her artistic abilities. As a result, she decided to try out for a spot at the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts. She appeared in two episodes of “Bones” between 2014 and 2015 as well as “The Good Wife” and “Battle Creek” as recurring characters, and she has headlined a single episode of “The Good Wife”.
Shalita landed her first regular role on a television series in 2015 when she was cast as Special Agent Sonja Percy on the ‘CBS’ police procedural series ‘NCIS: New Orleans.’ Shalita left the show in April 2018 after participating for four seasons. A “mutual parting” was how the media portrayed this event. However, allegations arose that Shalita’s departure from the show was related to the fact that former showrunner Brad Kern (who was sacked by ‘CBS’ in October 2018) was investigated multiple times for sexual harassment and racial statements on the sets.
