On June 26th, 1970, a new baby boy was introduced to the world in the city of Chicago. This event occurred in the year 1970. His father worked as a lithographer, and his mother was the director of a food bank that was sponsored by a charitable organization. Hayes spent his childhood in the western suburb of Chicago known as Glen Ellyn. Hayes’ father abandoned the family when Hayes was only five years old, leaving him and his siblings to fend for themselves. Hayes’ mother raised the children until they were all grown up. Hayes has two brothers who are older and two sisters who are younger. After graduating from Glenbard West High School, Hayes continued his education at Illinois State University to get his bachelor’s degree. It was there that he refined his talents as a pianist and played the piano.
However, since he accepted a position as the music director at the Pheasant Run Theater in St. Charles, Illinois, he was unable to complete the requirements necessary to get his degree. He began his professional life as a classical pianist, and subsequently, in his spare time, he took improv training at the renowned Second City comedy club in Chicago. At the beginning of his career, he was a pianist. In 1995, he made the trip to Los Angeles, where he swiftly established himself as a theatre actor and stand-up comedian. A Doritos ad that aired during Super Bowl XXXII in 1998 was largely responsible for bringing him to the notice of the general public for the first time.
Hayes has never stopped pursuing his dream of being in the theatre. He made his acting debut in the film Lucas, which was released in 1986 and was shot on location at his college or university. However, he did not make his formal debut in the realm of professional work until many years later, when he went to Los Angeles. After that, he began his career. Hayes’s first film credit was for the indie film Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss. This was Hayes’s first picture. The young actor rose to prominence after appearing in his first significant film role, and the following year, Hayes was cast in the NBC sitcom Will & Grace as the flamboyantly gay and jobless actor Jack McFarland. Hayes had acting roles in each of these shows.
Hayes received many Emmy Award nominations as a direct consequence of the enormous number of people that watched his program. Throughout the course of the show’s existence, he was nominated for a total of six Golden Globe Awards as well as one Emmy Award. In the films “Cats & Dogs” and “Martin & Lewis,” both released in 2001, Hayes portrayed Jerry Lewis. Jerry Lewis was chosen to play both of these roles in the production. Following the release of these two movies in 2003 were others, including The Cat in the Hat, Pieces of April, and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! Igor, a film released in 2008, was Hayes’s first performance in the field of voice acting.
Hayes has been a part of the production of a number of movies and has also been in a number of television episodes, including 30 Rock and Scrubs. In 2005, he was given the role of executive producer for the Bravo reality program Situation: Comedy, which he had first joined the production team for in 2003. After the completion of this production, he became the executive producer of both “The Sperm Donor” and “Stephen’s Life.” Hayes made his debut in front of an audience for the first time in the musical Damn Yankees in 2008 at the Encores theatre in New York City Center. He played the part of Mr. Applegate/Devil in the production.
Hayes made his first appearance on Broadway in the play Promises, Promises in the year 2010. As a result of his remarkable performance, he was in the running for the Tony Award nomination in the category of Best Actor in a Musical. In the same year, he also had a role in the film The Revenge of Kitty Galore, which was a continuation of the successful movie Cats & Dogs. Hayes was selected for the role of Larry Fine in the production of The Three Stooges that took place in 2012. In addition, Hayes and Todd Milliner established the production firm Hazy Mills Production in 2004. Hayes is a co-owner of the business and was one of the founders.
His production company is responsible for the production of a number of successful television series, such as “Hot in Cleveland,” “The Soul Man,” “Hollywood Game Night,” and “Sean Saves the World.” In addition, he has created a series of lip-sync videos for YouTube titled “The Kitchen Sync” and starred in the Broadway production of “An Act of God” in the year 2016. Hayes kept his sexual orientation a secret for a considerable amount of time out of concern for how audiences would react if they were aware of it. During an interview with The Advocate in 2010, the author dropped a few hints that he is homosexual. In 2014, he finally married his longtime companion of eight years, Scott Icenogle. The couple had been together since 2006.
Good Night, Oscar is a play that was written by Doug Wright, and Broadway veteran Sean Hayes will be making his return to the stage this spring in the main role of the play (winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama). Oscar Levant was a well-known actor, pianist, and comedian from Hollywood during the Golden Age. Hayes will assume the role of Oscar Levant. The preview performance of the production of Good Night, Oscar, which will be directed by Lisa Peterson and take place at the Belasco Theatre on April 7, 2023, will be followed by the official opening night on April 24. The date August 27, 2023, will mark the end of the limited engagement period that lasted for 20 weeks. The Tonight Show host for that particular year was Jack Paar, according to the official description (1958).
As a guest on his program, he will be welcoming Oscar Levant, a commentator who is both interesting and surprising in equal measure. In addition to Hayes, the cast will include Ben Rappaport in the role of Jack Paar, Emily Bergl, Peter Grosz, and John Zdrojeski; these four performers were all a part of the world premiere performance that took place at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre in the spring of 2022. Oscar Levant was the one who made the now-famous statement that “There’s a fine line between genius and craziness, and I have shattered that.” Any further casting announcements for an upcoming Broadway play will be made at a later time.
Rachel Hauck, who was in charge of the set design, Emilio Sosa, who was in charge of the costume design, Ben Stanton and Carolina Ortiz Herrera, who were in charge of the lighting design, Andre Pluess, who was in charge of the sound design, Chris Fenwick, who was in charge of the music supervision, J. To mention just a few: Jared Janas (responsible for the creation of the wigs, hair, and cosmetics), Stephen Kopel, Lauren Port, and Ra (dramaturgy). Oscar Levant was a trailblazer in a number of fields, including concert piano playing and the art of raconteurs, and Hayes said, “I couldn’t be more thrilled for the audiences on Broadway to experience ‘Good Night, Oscar.'” [Citation needed] Being given the opportunity to play one of my idols on stage is a tremendous honour for me.
In the year 1998, Sean Hayes was approached by a friend who wanted to know whether he would be interested in portraying Oscar Levant in a film. He is able to recall his remark as if it were yesterday: “Who the devil is Oscar Levant?” Soon after, he found out that the Levant was a pianist who, in the middle of the 20th century, had become renowned for the biting wit he displayed as a guest and presenter on radio and television debate shows. He had become famous for his appearances on these programs. On the other hand, Levant’s life was a living hell because of his struggles with mental illness and drug misuse. Hayes quickly started investigating Levant’s biography, reading Levant’s writings, and creating a performance based on these materials after receiving the suggestion from a different friend that he examines Levant as a character.
Following the presentation of the concept, an idea was developed, and finally, a screenplay was written and created. Hayes is set to feature in the Broadway premiere of “Good Night, Oscar,” which is slated to take place in the spring of 2019. There were detours along the way, like as when Hayes toyed with the idea of trying out for the part of the Levant in a George Gershwin biopic that Steven Spielberg never got around to making. The masterwork, which was directed by George Miller and stars Tom Hardy as the title character, received a Certified Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and provided spectators with an enjoyable experience.
The movie was recognized as one of the finest movies of the decade by publications such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and the Los Angeles Times, in addition to winning a number of Academy Awards. Furiosa’s life is in jeopardy the whole time she is seen on screen in “Mad Max: Fury Road,” as she is being followed by War Boys and other nefarious characters at every turn of her perilous trek. It turns out that things weren’t any safer off-set either, with some unexpected heroes rushing to the help of the actress who won an Academy Award while shooting was underway.
