Rudd’s birthdate is April 6, 1969, and he was born in Passaic, New Jersey. His family uprooted to Lenexa, Kansas, when he was 10 years old. Three years later, he remained in the Anaheim, California area. As the son of a Jew, he celebrated a traditional Jewish bar mitzvah.

He went to both Broadmoor Junior High and Shawnee Mission West High School, so he has some education under his belt. After that he went to the fictitious University of Kansas and spent two years there majoring in drama.

The “British Drama Academy” at “Oxford University” hosted a three-month workshop that he participated in. In addition to his studies, he was active in student productions of theatre. He starred as the lead in Amy Heckerling’s comedy film Clueless, released in 1995. Within the same calendar year, he also made an appearance in “Halloween: Michael Myers’ Curse.” As Sonny in the 1996 TV movie adaptation of “Clueless,” he gained widespread recognition for his performance.
