Omarion Phone Bio

Omarion, whose real name is Omari Ishmael Grandberry and who was born on November 12, 1984, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. He is also known by his stage name, Omarion. As the main vocalist of the boy band B2K, he came to fame and achieved success. The group’s hits “Gots to Be,” “Uh Huh,” “Girlfriend,” and “Bump, Bump, Bump,” which peaked at number one, were essential in the band’s rise to prominence in the early 2000s.

Following the group’s dissolution in 2004, Omarion began his solo career with the release of his first solo album, O, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 list. Omarion’s solo career has been very successful. In addition, he was a guest vocalist on the song “Let Me Hold You” by Bow Wow, which debuted in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. At the 48th Annual Grammy Awards, the album titled O was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Contemporary R&B Album.

His second solo album, titled 21, was released in 2006, and it quickly rose to the top of the charts in the United States. It also gave rise to the successful track “Ice Box.” Ollusion, his third solo album, was published by him in the year 2010. His fourth solo album, titled Sex Playlist, is what gave birth to the single “Post to Be,” which featured Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko. The song climbed all the way up to number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was awarded three times platinum status by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Omarion has also tried his hand at acting, making cameos in movies including “You Got Served,” “Fat Albert,” “Somebody Help Me,” and “The Proud Family Movie.” As a solo artist, he has been honored with three different music awards: the Soul Train Music Award, the Billboard Music Award, and the BET Award. O’Ryan, who is much younger, is also a vocalist in his own right.

Commercials for Kellogg’s Corn Pops and McDonald’s were among several in which he appeared. In the beginning of his career as a dancer, he was a background dancer for the R&B female group Before Dark, and he appeared in music videos for the group. Soon after, Omarion decided to pursue a career in music and went on to become the main vocalist for the boy band B2K. In 1999, Omari became a member of B2K and used the stage name Omarion at that time. “Boys of the New Millennium” is an abbreviation for the band’s chosen moniker, “B2K.”

In 2001, they released their first song, titled “Uh Huh,” after beginning their careers by touring with Lil Bow Wow. They quickly after published their first album, which was named simply B2K and was released on March 12, 2002. The album reached its highest position on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list, which was also its highest position on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. They released their second album, titled Pandemonium!, in December, which was accompanied by their most hit song, titled “Bump, Bump, Bump” and featured P. Diddy. The track reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 at number one.

The band would call it quits at the beginning of 2004, making this their last record before going their separate ways. At the beginning of 2004, Omarion had appearances in a few different movies, the most notable of which were You Got Served, in which he featured with Marques Houston and his old colleagues from B2K. The plot of the movie revolved around a group of close friends who are members of a hip-hop dance squad and compete in underground dance events. In the same year, he also appeared in the comedy film Fat Albert, in which he portrayed the part of “Reggie,” a school bully, in a film adaptation of the animated series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. O, Omarion’s first self-titled solo album, was released on the 22nd of February, 2005. The album debuted at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list as well as the Billboard 200 album chart.

The song “O” was released as the album’s first single. On the Billboard Hot 100, the track reached its highest position at No. 27. The second song, titled “Touch,” reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 94. The song “I’m Tryna” served as the album’s third and final public release. Since its debut, O has amassed more than 758,000 copies in sales in the United States. At the 48th Annual Grammy Awards, Omarion’s record was considered for a nomination for Best Contemporary R&B record, for which he got the Grammy. 21 was Omarion’s second studio album, and it was released on December 26, 2006.

The album debuted at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list as well as the Billboard 200 album chart. The song “Entourage” was released as the album’s first single. Omarion’s most successful solo song to date is “Ice Box,” which was produced by Timbaland, reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was awarded gold certification by the RIAA. “Ice Box” also reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100. Since its debut, album 21 has racked up more than 390,000 copies in sales in the United States.

In the suspense film Somebody Help Me, which he appeared in before the year’s conclusion, he demonstrated his acting abilities. This film was made available for purchase just on DVD and was shown on BET as part of their Halloween programming. Omarion has also appeared on a number of different episodes of other television series, including “One on One.” In “The Proud Family Movie,” Omarion also provided his voice for the character of “Fifteen Cent.”

The critical reception to his performance as a rapper in the film Feel the Noise, which he also helped create, in which he plays a character who becomes entangled with gangsters was divided. Face Off is the name of an album that Omarion and Bow Wow worked on together and released in late 2007. The RIAA awarded the album with a gold certification since it sold more than 500,000 copies in total and had more than 100,000 copies sold in its first week of release. The song “Girlfriend” was released as the album’s first single, while the song “Hey Baby” was released as the album’s second single.
