Mathilde Ollivier Bio

According to an exclusive report from Variety, Tom Wlaschiha and Mathilde Ollivier have just joined the cast of the new Peacock series “Mrs. Davis.” The announcement began, “With a heavy heart we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed,” and continued with similar language. “We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a second and third season like we did with Dark,” the producers said. However, there will be occasions when things do not go according to your plans. That’s the way life is. The multilingual series featured an international ensemble cast that included Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Maciej Musial, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Rosalie Craig, Clara Rosager, Maria Erwolter, Yann Gael, Mathilde Ollivier, José Pimentão, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Jonas Bloquet, Fflyn Edwards, Alexandre Willaume and Anton Lesser, among others.

1899, a bilingual German historical mystery-sci-fi thriller, has been canceled by Netflix after just a single season after the streaming service decided not to renew the show for a second season. 1899 is the most costly television series ever produced in Germany, with a budget of at least €60 million. Netflix has invested €48 million in the project, making it the most expensive German television series ever produced. At Studio Babelsberg, the production took place on a recently constructed virtual production stage, which was run by Friese and Bo Odar’s sister firm Dark Bay. Friese was the show’s writer, while Bo Odar was the show’s director. Friese and Bo Odar both acted as executive producers for the series.

On Monday, January 2, the announcement was announced on social media by the showrunners Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, who were also responsible for the critically acclaimed time travel thriller Dark on Netflix. “With a heavy heart we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed,” Friese and Bo Odar stated in a joint statement that was uploaded on Odar’s Instagram account. “With a heavy heart, we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed.”

“We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a second and third season like we did with Dark,” they said. “But alas, that was not to be.” However, there will be occasions when things do not go according to your plans. “Such is life,” the message said further. “We are aware that this would come as a letdown to millions of admirers all across the world. However, we would want to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for being a part of this extraordinary journey. The creators of 1899, Adar and Friese, recently gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter in which they hinted that they already have ideas for a second and third season of the show.

Following the success of Adar and Friese’s previous series, Dark, which ran for a total of three seasons, 1899 was created. In the year 2018, Friese and Odar entered into an exclusive, multi-year, and comprehensive arrangement with the streaming service. The agreement was the first European overall contract for Netflix, and 1899 was the first new series produced by the duo as a result of the agreement.  The message went on to say, “We are aware that this will be upsetting to millions of fans all across the world. On the other hand, we would want to express our gratitude to you from the depths of our souls for taking part in this amazing journey. We adore you. Never forget.”

The pair will star in the drama series with other cast members such as Jake McDorman, Andy McQueen, Ben Chaplin, David Arquette, Elizabeth Marvel, Margo Martindale, Katja Herbers, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Ashley Romans. Betty Gilpin will continue to play the main role in the series. He is represented by Gersh, Hamilton Hodell, and Agentur Hubchen respectively. The year 1899 serves as the backdrop for the plot of the program, which follows a migrant steamer as it travels westward away from the old continent.

The passengers, who came from a wide variety of countries throughout Europe, were bonded by their expectations and goals for the new century and their lives once they left the continent. However, their trip takes an unexpected turn when they come upon another migrant ship drifting aimlessly in the wide ocean. The things that they will encounter on board will transform their journey to the land of hope into a terrifying nightmare.

Maura Franklin, played by Emily Beecham, is a straightforward and enigmatic lady with a fascinating history, and she is the key to some of the mysteries that are on board. Oh, and along with the story comes new voices, since the international cast which includes Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, Miguel Bernardeau, Maciej Musial, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Rosalie Craig, Clara Rosager, Maria Erwolter, Yann Gael, Mathilde Ollivier, José Pimentão, Isabella Wei, Gabby Wong, Jonas Bloquet, Fflyn Edwards and Alexandre Willaume are all speaking their own languages.

The cast of 1899 has recently found out that the show’s premiere will be on November 17th. The majority of Ollivier’s work to this point in her career has been in feature films, such as “Boss Level,” “Overlord,” and “The Misfortunes of Francois Jane.” A recent appearance of hers may be seen in the Netflix limited series “1899.” She is represented by a number of agencies, including UTA, UBBA, Untitled, and Insight.

Damon Lindelof and Tara Hernandez are responsible for the creation of “Mrs. Davis.” Both participate in an executive producing capacity, with Hernandez further taking on the role as showrunner. Both Owen Harris and Alethea Jones are directing various episodes of the series, and both of them are also working as executive producers for the project. Additionally, Eugene Kelly will serve in the executive producer role. The studio in question is Warner Bros. Television. WBTV has overall contracts in place for Hernandez and Lindelof, respectively.

It is known that Gilpin will appear in the series as a nun who engages in combat against a formidable artificial intelligence; but, certain narrative and character elements are being kept under wraps at this time. Wlaschiha is most recognized by viewers in the United States for his performance as Jaqen H’ghar on the television show “Game of Thrones.” Additionally, he starred as the Soviet jail guard Dmitri in the most current season of the blockbuster Netflix series “Stranger Things.” He has just made an appearance in Peacock’s short series “Last Light,” so he is familiar with the streaming service. Aside from that, he has worked on the series “Jack Ryan” for Amazon and “Das Boot.
