Mae Whitman Bio

Mae Margaret Whitman was born on June 9, 1988. Both of her parents were involved in the entertainment industry; her mother Pat Musick was a voice actress, while her father Jeffrey Whitman worked in the entertainment industry as a set construction coordinator. They only have one child, and her name is Mae. Once, when she was not quite two years old but only a few months away from turning that age, she accompanied her mother to an audition. It was around this time that she first drew the attention of casting directors, who ultimately decided that she would be the best candidate to provide her voice for a character in a commercial for Tyson Chicken. In the end, despite the fact that her mother had some initial doubts about it, she ultimately gave her daughter permission to pursue it.

Before making her debut in the film business with When a Man Loves a Woman, in which she played the role of four-year-old Casey, she continued to study with her acting instructor, Andrew Magarian. She also acted in a couple more commercials before making her big-screen debut. The year 1994 saw the release of this movie. Her second film, which was released in 1995 and was titled Bye Bye Love and starred her as the character Michele, was her first appearance in the film industry. The following year, she made her debut on the small screen with two television films named Degree of Guilt and Naomi & Wynonna: Love Can Build a Bridge.  These two movies were shown on different channels of television.

She has parts in the movies “One Fine Day” and “Independence Day,” both of which were released in 1996, the same year they were filmed. She also continued to make cameo appearances on television series including Friends and Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man during this time period. She appeared on Chicago Hope for a total of 17 episodes between the years 1996 and 1999, Johnny Bravo for a total of 52 episodes between the years 1997 and 2004, and JAG for a total of eight episodes between the years 1998 and 2001. Her appearances on these shows were spread out over the course of a decade. During this time, in the year 1998, she was given her first leading role in the movie Hope Floats. Her character, Bernice Pruitt, appeared in the film as the protagonist.

She had already established herself as a successful actress by the beginning of the 2000s, having had leading roles in films such as An American Rhapsody (2001) and The Jungle Book 2 (2003), both of which were released during this decade. In addition to that, she had roles in a number of different television programs, such as State of Grace, in which she appeared in a total of forty episodes, and Arrested Development, in which she had guest appearances from 2004 to 2006. Both of these shows ran for a combined total of eight seasons.

During this time, she continued attending Ribet Academy to complete the official education that she had started there. During the formative years of her life, her parents were a tremendous impact on her growth and development. They made it a point to choose only those events for her to take part in that were directed by honorable and reliable individuals. Later on, they also gave her the chance to have some input into the decisions that were made, which was a great opportunity for her.

After completing her secondary education, Mae Whitman came to the conclusion that she did not want to continue her studies at a college or university. Instead, she continued her interest in acting by appearing in a number of series, both in live-action and voice roles, in both animated and live-action productions.

In 2008, she became well-known for her role as a mother who lived on the street in the episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit titled “Streetwise.” In the episode, she played a victim of street violence. She played a significant role in this episode and was considered one of the key characters. In addition, she found fame thanks to the role of Rosie in the HBO drama series In Treatment, in which she starred in a total of five episodes between the years 2008 and 2010. Another one of her notable works from the 2000s is titled “Boogeyman 2,” which was released in 2007, and in which she portrayed the character of Alison.

Mae Margaret Whitman, who is now a well-known actress in the United States, began her career in the entertainment industry as a voice-over artist in a chicken commercial when she was just two years old. The commercial was aired on television. She was not yet old enough to read, so she worked with acting coach Andrew Magarian, who helped her learn her lines. This was necessary because she was not yet old enough to read. Later on, while she was expressing her gratitude for his assistance, she recalled his explanation of acting to her, in which he compared a camera to a bubble, which would pop if she stared at it for too long. She said that this analogy helped her to better understand acting. Because of this, she ended up expressing her gratitude to him for his support.

She got her start in the film industry at the age of six and had been under his tutelage ever since she was a little child. He was her mentor from the time she was a child till she became an adult. Since then, she has continued to make strides forward, participating in a total of 46 films over the course of the subsequent 25 years, giving both her live-action and voice-acting performances. Equally busy on the small screen, she has so far participated in scores of television projects, gaining recognition for her performances in shows such as Good Girls, Arrested Development, Parenthood, and others. She has also been involved in film productions. In addition to that, she is a producer. In addition, since 2004, she has provided the voice for a range of characters in as many as fourteen different video games, and she is also the creator of a few songs. Her work can be found in a number of video games.
