Jr. Levar Burton (born February 16, 1957) The most well-known role he is best recognized for playing is that of Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1994). For his narration of The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr., Jr., Burton won the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards. His television accomplishments earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. On October 5, 2021, Burton was selected to serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2022 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. On January 1, 2022, he presided over both the parade and the Rose Bowl game in the afternoon.
