Bio

LeAnn Rimes was born on August 28, 1982. When her parents heard her singing in a high tone at the age of 18 months, they enrolled her in singing classes. When Rimes was six years old, she and her family moved to Garland, Texas, where she continued her musical training and made her first public appearances. In a Dallas performance of “A Christmas Carol,” she plays Scrooge.

After entering the national television competition show Star Search, LeAnn Rimes never looked back. That’s why she took off for the country music scene. Around the same time frame, she was a regular performer on Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue. LeAnn Rimes’s early exposure to the public spotlight allowed her to begin her career as a professional singer at the tender age of nine. The next season, she was featured as the Dallas Cowboys’ national anthem singer. His debut album of original material was released on Nor Va Jan in 1991. During this time, she began accompanying her father on his concert tours across the country. Three albums were released by her for the label before 1996.

LeAnn At the tender age of 14, Margaret Rimes Cibrian, better known by her stage name LeAnn Rimes, rose to prominence as one of America’s youngest country music singers. After taking her first singing lesson at age five and playing in Texas theaters and cable television shows, Rimes finally broke through to the mainstream with the release of her debut studio album, Blue, for which she received two Grammy Awards.

Country, adult contemporary, pop, and rock are just a few of the genres included on her CDs. Music critics agree that her sound and delivery are reminiscent of the legendary country vocalist Patsy Cline. At the tender age of 15, LeAnn Rimes wrote her first of many children’s books. After making her acting debut in Coyote Ugly and contributing vocals to Can’t Stop the Moonlight, she became a global sensation.

Disc jockey and record promoter Bill Mack of Dallas, Texas, is significantly responsible for making LeAnn Rimes a household name in the United States. After writing “Blue,” Mack included it on her independent album All That from 1994. Rimes included a cover of Blue by Mack on her 1996 self-titled first album. The album sold 4 million copies in the US, and the song reached #10 on the Billboard Country chart.

Blue’s success helped her break a record: she took home two Grammys at the tender age of 21. There was more adult contemporary than the country on the 1997 CDs Unchained Melody: The Early Years and You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Tracks. Holiday in Your Heart, her first novel, was also released to the public.

Sittin’ on Top of the World is LeAnn Rimes’ 1998 album of adult contemporary and mid-tempo pop. It catapulted her to new heights, with a No. 2 debut on the Top Country Albums chart and a No. 3 start on the Billboard 200. In 1999, LeAnn Rimes had the number one country album and peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200. In addition, they sang a duet with Elton John for the musical Aida.

Her first film in Hollywood was the 2000’s Coyote Ugly, which featured the songs “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and “But I Do Love You” on its soundtrack. She won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award due to the widespread acclaim her song “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” received. When Rimes released her album I Need You in 2001, it reached a career-high position on the Billboard 200 chart. The show was a critical and commercial success, despite the fact that it was met with mixed reviews.

Rime’s debut record that wasn’t produced by her dad was called Twisted Angel. The year 2002 saw its initial release. Despite the album’s positive reaction from listeners, it only reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. On her 21st birthday in 2003, she had her second novel, Jag, published. It was her first book for youngsters. The song “We Can” appeared in the 2010 film Legally Blonde 2: Redemption. Also, she dropped an album of all her chart-topping singles.

After recording a Dr. Pepper commercial with fellow country singer Reba McEntire in 2003, LeAnn Rimes released her greatest hits album The Best of LeAnn Rimes the following year. Jag’s New Friend and What a Wonderful World are two of her books that have been published. LeAnn Rimes’s most successful album in the last five years is 2005’s This Woman. Despite negative reviews from the press, the album was certified gold. For best female country vocal performance, she was nominated for a Grammy.

For audiences outside the US and Canada, she released Anything We Want in 2006. Songs like “And It Seems Like,” “Everybody’s Someone,” and “Strong” can be found on the album. Rimes released her country/pop/rock mashup album Family in 2007. This followed more than a decade of work in the industry. She was up for a Grammy because she collaborated on every track on the album.

Ladies & Gentlemen, a country cover album, was released in 2010. Swingin’, Crazy Women, Giving, etc. are just a few of the tunes that are featured. Rimes announced the release of her album on Twitter. She tweeted about her 2013 album release, titled “Spitfire.” It was available for digital download in the UK and Australia before it was made available in the US. LeAnn Rimes’s breakthrough came with her first studio album, Blue. It earned her two Grammys and made her the second-youngest country music superstar in the United States. Two Grammys have been nominated for LeAnn Rimes’s Blue album.
