On June 15, 1970, in Reading, Berkshire, England, Justin Fletcher entered the world with a musically-inclined father and a domestically-inclined mother. His mother was a stay-at-home parent, but both of Justin Fletcher’s parents held jobs outside the home when he was growing up. Guy Fletcher Sr. was a songwriter who had previously collaborated with Joe Cocker, Cliff Richard, and Elvis Presley, among others. Justin Fletcher became well-known as a result of his role as host of the popular television series “Something Special.” With the goal of introducing young children to the Makaton signing system, the show first aired on CBeebies in 2003 and again in 2014.
