June Diane Raphael Bio

Actress, comedian, and playwright June Diane Raphael was born and raised in the United States. She was born on January 4, 1980. Her birthday is January 4.  Her film work has garnered her acclaim in the industry.

Raphael’s parents, Diane and John Raphael brought her up in the city of Rockville Centre, New York, where she was born and raised. She received her diploma from South Side High School in the year 1998 after attending that institution. She is of Irish origin and was raised in the Catholic faith by her parents and grandparents. Her older sisters are Lauren and Deanna, and both of them are older than she is.

She is the youngest of the three. When Raphael first began his career in comedy, he was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) in New York, where he wrote for and performed with the group. Later, he joined the UCB in Los Angeles. One of the most well-known works that she produced during her time at UCB is a sketch show called Rode Hard and Put Away Wet, which she and her comedy partner and close friend Casey Wilson co-wrote and performed in.

The live stage act was performed in New York and Los Angeles between the years 2003 and 2006, and it was chosen as an official selection for the United States Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, in 2005. Since then, Raphael and Wilson have taken their humorous cooperation to the next level by launching active careers as screenwriters in the film and television industries.

It was the first screenplay that the two of them had worked on together and it was a comedy called Bride Wars, in which both of them had minor roles and also co-wrote the screenplay. Raphael is an actress that has worked in both films and television shows during the course of her career. Party Down, Happy Endings, New Girl, and Lady Dynamite are just a few of the television programs on which she has appeared as a guest star.

Raphael had a co-starring role as Barb in the improvised comedy series Players, which debuted on Spike TV in the year 2010 and ran for two seasons. In addition, she appeared in all three seasons of the web series Burning Love, which aired for a total of one year and was co-starring Ken Marino and Michael Ian Black. At the 2013 Outfest film festival, Raphael and his writing partner Casey Wilson photographed with Chris Nelson, the director of Ass Backwards.

Raphael is on the right, while Casey Wilson is on the left. Casey Wilson is Raphael’s writing partner, and the two have collaborated on screenplays and scripts for television and movies. The most recent project that they worked on together was a bawdy female buddy comedy called Ass Backwards, which they both created and starred in. Alicia Silverstone, Jon Cryer, Vincent D’Onofrio, Paul Scheer, and Bob Odenkirk also appear in the film in supporting roles.

The film was presented publicly for the very first time on the 21st of January, 2013, at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2013, it was rumored that Raphael and Wilson were working on a second film to star in together, which was being produced by the business Gary Sanchez Productions, which was created by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The film was rumored to be a comedy and it was being produced by Gary Sanchez Productions.

Raphael joined the revolving cast of the Off-Broadway play Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which was written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, in February of 2010. The production was performed at the Westside Theatre in Manhattan, which is located in Manhattan. Jessica St. Clair, Melissa Rauch, Danielle Schneider, and Morgan Walsh were all members of the cast of the humorous stage production titled “The Realest Real Housewives,” which was conceived and produced by Raphael and Casey Wilson. The show was also titled “The Realest Real Housewives.”

Since 2011, the performance has been held at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles on a consistent basis each and every month. In addition, Raphael contributed short stories to the book Worst Laid Plans, which was released in 2010 and was based on the long-running stage performance, in which she frequently acted.

The book was an adaptation of the production, and Raphael was one of the contributors to the book. Raphael appeared in multiple episodes of the action comedy series NTSF:SD:SUV:: that aired on Adult Swim from 2011 and 2013. The show lasted for a total of three seasons during its run.

The podcast consists of a roundtable discussion in which Scheer, Raphael, and Mantzoukas, along with additional special guests, “try to make sense of movies that make absolutely no sense.” The comedian and actor Paul Scheer is Raphael’s husband at the present time. They had their initial meeting in January 2004, and then they got together for the second time the following year in January 2004.

Prior to that, they had met in January of 2004, when Scheer was brought in by the artistic director of Manhattan’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre to offer guidance to Raphael and her comedy partner Casey Wilson on how to enhance their UCB two-woman sketch show. Scheer was brought in to offer advice to Raphael and her comedy companion Casey Wilson on how to improve their UCB two-woman sketch show.

In 2005, they uprooted their life and moved from New York to Los Angeles. Their previous residence was in New York. In October 2009, they held their wedding at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, which was the venue that they had chosen. In 2014, they became parents for the first time, and in 2016, they had another child.

In collaboration with comedian Kulap Vilaysack, Raphael founded and currently oversees the “UCB Corps” community. UCB Corps is a volunteer charity organization that is associated with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Together with the support of volunteers and other UCB actors “who want to make our world a better place,” Raphael and Vilaysack arrange philanthropic events and community improvement projects in an effort to contribute to the process of making the world a better place.
