Philip John Clapp Jr., better known by his stage name Johnny Knoxville, is an American stunt performer, professional wrestler, actor, writer, and producer. His most well-known work is as a co-creator and star of the MTV reality stunt program Jackass, which ran from 2000 to 2001 for three seasons. He relocated to California to pursue his acting career after graduating in 1989. At first, Knoxville mainly made an appearance in advertisements and in a few small supplementary roles.
