Rock singer, musician, composer, actor, and record producer Joan Jett is from the United States. She was involved with the all-girl band “The Runaways,” which rose to fame thanks to the success of their single “Cherry Bomb,” and she began learning to play the guitar at the age of 14, when she had a strong interest in music. She dropped her father’s last name after her parents were divorced. She adopted “Jett,” her mother’s middle name, as her legal last name. She looked up to her mother as her biggest inspiration and gave her a lot of credit for inspiring her own rebellious nature and artistic proclivities.
Soon after the family relocated to Maryland, Joan began showing a strong interest in music, particularly rock music. She began attending “Randolph Junior High” and later “Wheaton High School.” At the age of 14, she acquired her first guitar.
