Janet was born on August 5, 1961. When she was six years old, her family relocated to York. Once known as the “Queen Anne Grammar School for Girls,” Janet attended this institution. She first found employment in a bar at York Minster called the “Olde Starre Inn.” Janet’s interest in acting was sparked by a visit to the “York Theatre Royal,” where she saw the play “She Stoops to Conquer.” She was a waiter in the theater.
