James Harden was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 26, 1989. His hometown is California. The superstar of the NBA is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever compete at the professional level in the sport of basketball. He has previous experience with three of the most successful NBA teams. Since Harden made his debut as a professional basketball player in 2009, everyone has been blown away by his incredible basketball skills.
James Edward Harden Jr. is a professional basketball player who is currently employed by the Philadelphia 76ers. He was born on June 19, 1992. His high school was Artesia, which was located in Lakewood, California. There, he was a member of the school’s basketball team, where he displayed an already impressive aptitude for the game. Harden was a big part of the reason his high school team won the California state championship.
He received his education at Arizona State University, where he immediately made a significant contribution to the university’s basketball team in his first year there. Harden was selected for the first team All-Pac-10, and as his time in college came to a close, he made the decision to hire Rob Pelinka as his agent. In the 2009 NBA draught, he was chosen with the third overall pick and became the third overall pick overall.
The Oklahoma City Thunder decided to take a chance on him and draught him. During the season that ran from 2011 to 2012, Harden established himself as the Thunder’s best player. In addition to leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals, he was awarded the Sixth Man of the Year award by the NBA. The game against the Miami Heat ended in a disappointing loss for the team.
Harden refused to sign an extension of his contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, which resulted in the 2012 trade that sent him to the Houston Rockets. Harden’s career was catapulted forward when he joined the Rockets. He received both his first All-NBA Team honour (the first of seven he would receive while playing for the Rockets) as well as his first All-Star team honour from the NBA (his first of eight participations).
In his first seven seasons with the Houston Rockets, Harden accomplished incredible things. The Most Valuable Player award for 2018 went to him as a result of his performance. In the year 2020, James Harden was sent to the Brooklyn Nets in a trade. He was selected for the NBA All-Star game for the eighth and ninth time while playing for the Nets. At the beginning of the 2022 NBA season, Harden signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, after which he parted ways with the Brooklyn Nets.
Harden started to develop into one of the best players in the league after moving to Houston. During his first season with the Rockets, he maintained a scoring average of over 25 points per game, a feat that he has accomplished in each and every season since. In a similar vein, Harden was selected for the first time as an All-Star during his first season in Houston, and he has since gone on to become a perennial All-Star.
During the 2017-18 and 2018-19 NBA seasons, Harden improved his scoring average to more than 30 points per game. As a result, he led the NBA in scoring each of those seasons and was named MVP in 2018. In addition, Harden competed for the United States of America at the Olympic Games in 2012, where he contributed to the success of the American team.
Harden received his education at Arizona State University, where he participated in athletics for the Sun Devils while Herb Sendek was their head coach. Harden averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in his first season of college basketball play. Because of his performance, he was named to the First Team All-Pac-10. The Sun Devils were unable to make it into the NCAA Tournament and their season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
Harden was widely considered to be one of the top players in the nation when he was a sophomore. He finished each game with an average of 20.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. Harden was a unanimous selection for All-American honours and received the Pac-10 Player of the Year award. After a drought of six years, Arizona State was finally able to qualify for the NCAA Tournament thanks to his efforts.
However, despite winning their first-round match against Temple, the Sun Devils were eliminated by Syracuse in the round of 32. Following the conclusion of the season, Harden made the decision to forego his remaining two years of college eligibility and instead enter the NBA Draft. Harden was thrust into the starting lineup, and he has done so in every game since for which he has competed for the Rockets.
Harden’s production also increased as a result of the increased playing time, as evidenced by his 25.9 point per game scoring average during the 2012–2013 season. While he was helping the Rockets end their three-year playoff drought during that season, he was honoured with a spot on the All-Star Team for the very first time in his career. They had no chance against the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs, so they were eliminated.
While playing for the Rockets, Harden continued to develop his skills as a scorer as well as a playmaker. During the 2016–17 season, he led the league in assists per game with 11.2 on average while also averaging 29.1 points per game, which was good for first place.
Additionally, during that season, Harden averaged 8.1 rebounds per game, which was a career high for him. The following summer, James Harden extended his contract with the Rockets by signing a new deal worth $160 million over four years. This brought the total value of his deal to $228 million over six years, making it the most lucrative in NBA history.
