Bio

Israel Broussard is an actor from the United States. Angela (Clapp) and Lawrence Clayton Adams gave him the name Isaiah Israel Broussard on August 22, 1994 in Gulfport, Mississippi. His biological father died when he was four years old, and he was raised by his mother in Saucier, Mississippi. With his youngest sister and father, Israel survived Hurricane Katrina’s deadly landfall in a civil defence shelter (his elementary school). Through Israel’s stepfather, Shane Guilbeau is Israel’s fourth cousin. He traces his ancestors to England, Germany, Scotland, and Ireland. His surname, “Broussard,” is French and is Israel’s adoptive stepfather’s surname. Quotes from People You Know  I’m good at acting, but it’s not my thing.

I’m not very talented at music, but it’s my passion. I believe I’ll just go with the flow, wait for one to pick up, and seize each opportunity as it arises. I’m still not convinced that I’m a decent actress. The only reason I’m doing it is because I’m surrounded by people who believe in me. Unfortunately, our generation is glued to our phones – including, for example, TwitAngela (née Clapp), a Mary Kay cosmetics consultan and Lawrence Clayton Adams (1957–1999), who died when Broussard was four, were the parents of Isaiah Israel Adams, who was born in Gulfport, Mississippi. He grew up in the Mississippi town of Saucier. Gil Broussard, a computer programmer who eventually adopted him and his older sister,by his mother and stepfather, Gil Broussard, a computer programmer. His mother’s remarriage resulted in one younger half-brother.

Broussard began his acting career in minor roles such as Garrett Einbinder in the comedy-drama Flipped (2010) and Josh in the comedy The Chaperone (2011) before getting the role of Marc Hall in Sofia Coppola’s crime picture The Bling Ring (2013). He received plaudits for his work in the latter, which was inspired on the true storey of the Bling Ring, a gang of adolescent criminals. Broussard and Lily Collins co-starred in the Bryce Dallas Howard-directed music video for M83’s “Claudia Lewis” in 2013.Following that, he played Carson Taft in the Lifetime movie Perfect High (2015).

Broussard appeared in the comedy picture Good Kids the next year as Mike “Spice” Jennings. In Christopher Landon’s slasher flick Happy Death Day, Broussard played as Carter Davis opposite Jessica Rothe (2017).  In 2018, he played Josh Sanderson in Susan Johnson’s film version of Jenny Han’s young adult romance novel To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and he had a prominent role in the alien invasion thriller Extinction.

In the 2019 sequel Happy Death Day 2U, Broussard resumed his role as Carter Davis.  Remarks that are divisive A compilation of tweets by Broussard that were deemed offensive and racist by commenters, notably on the issue of the Black Lives Matter movement, reappeared on August 21, 2018, just days after the release of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Broussard, for example, tweeted after the 2011 Tsunami and earthquake in Japan: “Earthquakes are detectable by dogs. Regrettably, they were all devoured by Japan.”  He was also discovered to have liked anti-Muslim tweets as well as tweets advocating Sandy Hook conspiracy theories. “I am determined to becoming a more knowledgeable and educated version of myself,” he wrote on Twitter in an apology.

Filmographyter – all of the time, which I don’t mind. I wouldn’t say we’re depicting American youngsters or anything, but there’s something to take away from it: it’s sort of sad that we can’t go thirty minutes without checking our phones. Actually, I aspired to be a musician, preferably a guitarist or drummer. I guess my goals were in the entertainment world, and I ended up with his older sister, Aubrey, and his brother and stepfather, Gil Broussard. Broussard started acting in 2006, when he played Percy in the Biloxi Little Theater’s performance of “The Miracle Worker.” In January 2008, he was “discovered” by Hollywood scouts at an event and signed with Abrams Artists Agency. He moved to Los Angeles two years later to pursue acting as a career.

Before starring in Sofia Coppola’s crime drama The Bling Ring, Broussard was in supporting roles in Flipped (2010) and The Chaperone (2011). (2013). Following that, he appeared in films such as Perfect High (2015), H8RZ (2015), Jack of the Red Hearts (2015), and Good Kids (2015).
