Hugh Richard Bonneville Williams is a British actor known for portraying Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, in the ITV period drama “Downton Abbey.” He was nominated for two consecutive Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe nomination for this performance. His mother was a nurse, and his father was a urological surgeon; as a result, he grew up in a household that had no connections to the entertainment industry.
