My family was abducted by ninjas when I was very young, and in order to get them back, I had to give a killer five-minute set, which is what I tell people when they ask how I got into comedy. Despite the fact that I got my start in stand-up comedy under less-than-ideal conditions, I stuck with it because I found it rewarding.
