Felicia Day Bio

Kathryn Felicia Day was born on June 28, 1979, in the city of Huntsville, Alabama, in the United States. She does not provide any information about her parents or early life to the media, which is understandable. Her professional acting career began at the age of seven when she appeared in a production of the play ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ She also studied sign language and ballet dance, and she has participated in concerts and competitions at the national level. Day studied mathematics and music performance at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a double major in mathematics and music performance.

She graduated from high school at the age of nineteen. Felicia Day is believed to be single at the time of writing. She previously had a romantic relationship with Nathan Fillion. In 2017, she became the mother of a baby girl, whom she called Calliope Maeve, who was born in 2017. She hasn’t announced who the child’s father is at this time. After graduating, Day relocated to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. It wasn’t long before she landed a number of roles in short films and independent films as well as commercials and guest appearances on television shows such as Undeclared and Maybe It’s Me.

As a result of these roles, she was cast in larger roles, including a supporting role in the film Bring It On Again, the lead role in June, and a recurring guest role as potential Slayer Vi on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a role that she has reprised in the show’s eighth season comic book series. Day’s singing was featured in HBO’s 2005 dramatization of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Warm Springs, when her wheelchair-using character serenaded a dining group with “I Won’t Dance,” which was performed by Day herself.

In 2007, Day launched a web series called The Guild, which investigated the world of massively multiplayer online role-playing games. Day was the creator, writer, and star of the project. First and foremost, the show’s first season was only shown on YouTube, where it received millions of views. Its second season launched on Microsoft’s three major video channels, Xbox Live, MSN Video, and The Zune Marketplace, following a contract with The Guild that allowed Day, her cast, and her crew to be compensated for their work.

Day, her cast, and her crew were paid for their work in the first season. A song and music video entitled “(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar” was also developed by Day, showcasing members of the cast who were costumed as their in-game personae. Additionally, the last minutes of the music video itself revealed that the third season of Day’s The Guild would be released on August 25, 2009, as previously stated. Prior to the launch of the fourth season of The Guild, a second song, “Game On,” was released along with a Bollywood-style music video.

Three music videos have been released to date, the third and final of which is titled “I’m the One That’s Cool.” It features the members of the cast dressed as members of an alternative band performing at a local venue, intercut with scenes of the cast as younger versions of their characters who are bullied by “cooler” and more popular kids while at school.

There have been numerous awards given to members of the Guild, including the Greenlight Award for Best Original Digital Series Production at the South by Southwest festivals, several IAWTV Awards (including Best Comedy Series), the YouTube Video Award for Best Series, the Yahoo! Video Award for Best Series, and the 2009 Streamy Awards (which recognized the best comedy web series, the best female actor in a comedy web series, and the best ensemble cast in a web series).

After announcing her plans to create her premium YouTube channel, “Geek & Sundry,” in March 2012, Day confirmed her plans on April 2, 2012. For Season 6, Geek and Sundry Productions takes over the production of The Guild. Day is the host of various shows on Geek & Sundry, the most notable of which are The Flog, Vaginal Fantasy, Felicia’s Ark, and Co-Aptitude (in which Felicia’s brother Ryon Day appears). Geek and Sundry were acquired by Legendary in August 2014, and the company will now collaborate with Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist Industries to develop content, with Day keeping creative control. Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, a three-part web-based musical in which Day appeared as Penny, premiered in July 2008.
