Dasha Nekrasova Bio

Dasha Nekrasova is a Belarusian-American actor, filmmaker, and co-host of the Red Scare podcast along with Anna Khachiyan. She was born on February 19, 1991, in the United States. is both a director and a producer. In 2018, she became known as “Sailor Socialism” after an interview she gave to an InfoWars reporter while dressed in a sailor fuku went viral. The interview was conducted while she was wearing the fuku. She made her debut as a filmmaker in 2021 with the horror movie The Scary of Sixty-First, for which she was awarded the prize for Best First Feature at the Berlin International Film Festival.

She was recognized at the Berlin International Film Festival for both of her achievements and received awards as a result. Nekrasova was born to parents who were involved in acrobatics in the city of Minsk, Belarus. After relocating to the United States, the family settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the child was four years old. This was after the family had come to the United States. She attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts for her secondary education and obtained her high school diploma from that institution in 2008. After completing her secondary education at that institution, she went on to study sociology and philosophy at Mills College.

Wobble Palace was Nekrasova’s first film role. Kotlyarenko is credited as the film’s director.  Additionally, The New York Times referred to the film as “a sendup of broke-artist types that shimmers with abashed affection.”The Hollywood Reporter remarked that she “effortlessly” inhabited the role of the central character in the dark comedy named “The Softness of Bodies,” which she performed. During the time when she was in Austin, Texas, for the 2018 South by Southwest Festival to promote Wobble Palace, her interview with the right-wing media outlet InfoWars became a viral hit on the internet. She was given the label “Sailor Socialism” as a result of the fact that she displayed her support for Bernie Sanders while dressed in an attire that was reminiscent of the one that Japanese schoolgirls used when they were dressed as Sailor Moon characters.

This video was included as part of a piece on Venezuela that was covered in one of John Oliver’s episodes of Last Week Tonight. The episode focused on that country. Nekrasova and Anna Khachiyan, who also hosts the show together, gave their podcast its name and debuted it on March 29, 2018, under the moniker Red Scare. The public has the impression that the show is affiliated with those on the “dirty left. The “schtick” of the show can be summed up, as stated by Daily Dot, as “when hot mean girls become public leftists.”

This description was submitted by Simone Norman, who had previous experience working on Capitol Hill. The gallery was exhibiting the Fall 2019 collection designed by Rachel Comey at the time of Nekrasova’s debut. In addition to Nekrasova, Khachiyan was spotted making an appearance at the gathering. Nekrasova made her directorial debut in the year 2020 with the movie titled “The Scary of Sixty-First,” which was also her first film overall.

Both Nekrasova and Madeline Quinn contributed to the writing of the suspense novel, which was inspired by the death of Jeffrey Epstein. At the 71st Berlin International Picture Festival, the picture was honored with the award for Best First Feature, and it also made its debut in front of an international audience there. Later on, in the same year, Nekrasova co-wrote the script for the short film Spectacular Reality.

The film, which was inspired by rumors surrounding crisis actors and featured models from No Agency New York, was about crisis actors and featured models from No Agency New York. Additionally, she supervised the video performance of Oneohtrix Point Never’s “I Don’t Love Me Anymore” that was shown on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 6, 2020. This performance was broadcast on the show. In November of 2021, Nekrasova shared on Instagram a photograph of herself posing with Alex Jones, the host of Infowars. Jones was also shown in the photograph.

Later on, Nekrasova described Jones as “an incredible entertainer” in a segment of her podcast titled “Red Scare.” At one point in time, Nekrasova was dating a musician by the name of Oneohtrix Point Never named Daniel Lopatin. Lopatin is better known by his stage name. She formerly served as the host of the podcast Cum Town, which has since been discontinued; at the present time, she serves in that capacity for The Adam Friedland Show. Previously, she had a relationship with the comedic actor Adam Friedland.
