Cristina Danielle Valenzuela, better known by her stage name Cristina Vee, is an American voice actor. She was born on July 11, 1987, and her full name is Cristina Danielle Valenzuela. She has provided her voice for the English dubs of a number of anime, cartoon, and video game titles, including Genshin Impact. Louise in “The Familiar of Zero,” Nanoha Takamachi in “The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Series,” Mio Akiyama in “K-On!,” Noel Vermillion in “BlazBlue Alter Memory,” “Nagisa Sait” in “Squid Girl,” and “Homura Akemi” in “Puella Magi” are some of the roles she has played. Madoka Magica, Compa from Hyperdimension Neptunia, Rei Hino/Sailor Mars from the Viz Media version of Sailor Moon, the Honoka sisters from Knights of Sidonia, and Hawk from The Seven Deadly Sins are some of the characters who have appeared in Viz Media licenced properties. Killua Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter, Yuko Tani in Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, and Godzilla: The Planet Eater, and Thoma in The Promised Neverland. Meiko Mochizuki in Digimon Adventure tri. She has had parts in video games such as the eponymous character in the Shantae series as well as her arch-nemesis Risky Boots in the Shantae series, Velvet Crowe in Tales of Berseria, Riven in League of Legends, and Cerebella in Skullgirls. Her most recent appearance was as Cerebella in Skullgirls.

In the animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, she provides the voice of Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug as part of the English dub. She played Haruhi Suzumiya in the live-action adaptation of The Adventures of the ASOS Brigade, which she co-hosted with Johnny Yong Bosch on AnimeTV and she also co-hosted AnimeTV with him. Vee was conceived and delivered in the greater Los Angeles area, and she spent her childhood years in Norwalk.  When she was younger, she had aspirations of becoming an animator; but, after seeing Sailor Moon, she was motivated to pursue a career in voice acting instead. She was a lover of anime and had gone to Anime Expo on several occasions. While there, she competed in their AX Idol voice-over contest.

In 2004, she became a member of a voice-over panel, where she assisted with the operation of some of the equipment. After that, Wendee Lee gave her a card, which she used to audition for various programmes with Bang Zoom! Entertainment, includes the animated series Samurai Champloo Her breakthrough performance came in the part of Kanaria in Rozen Maiden.  She attended California State University, Long Beach, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts in 2007. In the year 2008, she provided her voice for the main character in Aika R-16: Virgin Mission, Louise in The Familiar of Zero, and Nanoha in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.

She played the role of the live-action Haruhi Suzumiya in the promotional films for the second instalment of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and performed as her at a variety of events. 2012 Vee Appearance at the ColossalConIn the school music comedy K-On!, she provided the voice of the timid bassist Mio Akiyama, and in the comedy Squid Girl, she provided the voice of Nagisa Sait.During the same year, she played the role of Alisa Bosconovitch in the anime feature film Tekken: Blood Vengeance, and she promoted the film by appearing at American anime conventions with the Japanese writer Dai Sat.  In 2012, she voiced Homura Akemi in Puella Magi Madoka Magica.  In 2013, she provided the voice for Princess Yo in the video game Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan as well as Red Hood in the anime series Ikki Tousen.  In the year 2014, she provided her voice for the character of Morgiana in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic as well as the Honoka sisters in Knights of Sidonia.

 

She was selected to provide the voice of Sailor Mars for the re-dub of Sailor Moon by Viz Media as well as the new Sailor Moon Crystal series.  When opposed to her role in the first series, Rei in Crystal is shown as having a more solemn and royal demeanour, which led Vee to comment that her voice of the character in Crystal is distinct. She provided the voice for Noel Vermillion in BlazBlue Alter Memory, Compa in Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation, and Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins in 2015, the latter of which was an original series produced by Netflix. She lent her voice to the character of Killua Zoldyck for the English dub of the 2011 anime adaption of Hunter Hunter that was produced by Viz Media in 2016.

Vee has contributed to several animation projects throughout the years. In March of 2012, she kicked out a crowdfunding effort on Kickstarter with the intention of collaborating with Cybergraphix Animation and Studio APPP to create an animated music video.  Alex Ahad, the creative director of Skullgirls, was the one responsible for designing the primary character of the video, who is referred to as “Cristina Veecaloid.” Her character was then given the moniker Milky, and in 2015, an iOS game called Veecaloid Pop was made available to the public.  In the year 2012, Vee was actively engaged in the voice casting process as well as directing the Skullgirls web series and video game. At the 40th annual Annie Awards, the game received a nomination. Vee was cast as the voice of the titular character Marinette Dupain-Cheng  in the English dub of the computer-generated anime series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir in the year 2015.

 

After making its debut on Nickelodeon in December 2015, the programme has since been shown throughout four seasons on Netflix and is now also available on Disney+ and Disney Channel. The executive producer Jared Wolfsen said that Vee and the other English dub voice actresses added a lot of vitality to their roles, and he also mentioned that Vee herself is much like Ladybug in that she is nice and caring, and that she is so much fun to watch.  Vee gave the voice of a character called Verosika Mayday in the online series Helluva Boss in February 2021.

Vee also starred as Verosika Mayday in the episode “Spring Broken.” Vee has worked as a voice actor for several video games, most often contributing her talents to the English adaptation of Japanese games developed by Atlus USA and NIS America. Noel Vermillion in BlazBlue, Velvet Crowe in Tales of Berseria, Riven the Exile in League of Legends, Four in Drakengard 3, Compa in Hyperdimension Neptunia, 13-Amp and 5-Volt in WarioWare Gold, Marnie in Pokemon Masters EX, and Ying in Paladins: Champions of the Realm are just some of the major roles she has played.  as well as the name of the main character in the Shantae series, In addition, the main antagonist of the story, Risky Boots, is also present.

 

She is responsible for directing and producing the voices for the computer game Indivisible, which received a total of $1.5 million in funding through crowdsourcing on December 2, 2015. Vee has made appearances on screen in a number of different online series, television programmes, and events, in addition to playing the live-action role of Haruhi Suzumiya. She hosted Anime TV, where she gave reviews of series and conducted interviews with cast members and other fans.

She also made appearances on Funimation On Demand and Crunchyroll.  She hosted IGN’s IPL4 and IPL5 League of Legends video game tournaments in Las Vegas as a live-action host for both events.  She is a well-known face at a broad variety of anime conventions held all throughout the United States and the rest of the globe. In addition to providing voices for animated characters, Vee has also covered a number of anime songs and posted them on YouTube.

In 2015, she collaborated with DJ Bouche to make an EP titled Menagerie, which was made available as a part of the Omakase subscription service offered by Viewster.  In August of 2017, she collaborated with YouTuber Nathan Sharp  to record a cover version of the song “Attention” by Charlie Puth. In addition to that, she became a member of the Give Heart Records independent record company.
