Christopher Wallace is a well-known American broadcast journalist who was born on October 12th, 1947. In 1991, he filed a report from Tel Aviv regarding the Iraqi Scud missile attacks that took place during the Persian Gulf War. At the time, the Israeli government desired to keep the location of where the Scuds landed a secret in order to prevent the Iraqis from modifying their launchers in response to the information. During one segment of Nightline, Wallace began explaining the neighborhood in Tel Aviv where a Scud missile was intercepted and destroyed. The host, Ted Koppel, interrupted him and requested that he not offer a specific location but rather indicate a general vicinity instead.
