Christopher Alvin Stapleton is a musician from the United States who is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Before gaining prominence with his record, he had already written several popular songs for a variety of singers in the American country, rock, and pop genres. After moving to Nashville to become a composer, he was able to get a publishing agreement after only four days of his arrival. He was born and raised in Kentucky.

Melanie Brooke, Christopher’s younger sister, and Herbert Joseph III, Christopher’s older brother, were all present in the little hamlet of Staffordsville, where Christopher spent his childhood. He attended Johnson Central High School and graduated from there. To pursue a degree in engineering, he enrolled at Vanderbilt University, but he left the school after just one year.
To pursue a career as a songwriter, Christopher Stapleton relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in the year 2001. After arriving in Nashville, he obtained a deal with the Sea Gayle Music publishing firm within the first four days of his arrival. He went on to write a significant number of successful songs for a variety of well-known performers throughout the next decade, including Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Luke Bryan, and Thomas Rhett, among others.
He collaborated on the writing of several country songs, many of which not only climbed to the top of the charts but also remained there for a protracted period. 2010 was the year when Stapleton parted ways with The Steeldrivers. In the same year, he also established a rock band known as The Jompson Brothers, in which he played both the guitar and the vocals. The soundtracks of several successful films, such as “Valentine’s Day,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip,” and “Hell or High Water,” have included a significant number of the songs that Stapleton has composed.
He has performed duets with his wife Morgane, one of which being a rendition of the song “Amanda” by Don Williams in the year 2013. 2015 was the year that they collaborated on a performance for the ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ on National Public Radio. He began making his solo debut album, titled “Traveller,” after the song “What Are You Listening To?” was unsuccessful. Dave Cobb was a co-producer on the album, which he also did. The release date of the album was May 5th, 2015.
On the CD, he was a member of a live band that featured his wife Morgane, who sang the harmonies throughout the performances. He played the guitar. Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and New Artist of the Year were the three accolades that he emerged victorious with for his album at the Country Music Association Awards in 2015. In 2016, Stapleton and his wife contributed a song to the record project titled “Southern Family,” which was produced by Dave Cobb. The song was titled “You Are My Sunshine.”
On Jake Owen’s album titled “American Love,” he also recorded a duet with Owen titled “If He Ain’t Gonna Love You.”Additionally, in 2016, he was a part of the live performance lineup at the Country to Country event in Europe, which also included Kacey Musgraves, Andrew Combs, and Eric Church. In addition, he was a guest on an episode of Saturday Night Live, when he played the songs “Parachute” and “Nobody to Blame” from the ‘Traveller’ compilation album.
