Bruce Walter Timm is a well-known American artist, animator, writer, producer, and director. He was born on February 5, 1961, here in the United States. Most notably, he was the lead producer of Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1995) and Superman: The Animated Series (1996–2000), both of which contributed to the development of the present DC Comics animated brand. He is most recognized for his contributions to the creation of this franchise.
The New Batman Adventures, which ran from 1997 to 1999, Batman Beyond, which ran from 1999 to 2001, Justice League, which ran from 2001 to 2004, and Justice League Unlimited, which ran from 2004 to 2006. After having dropped out of school, he started working full-time at Kmart until he came upon an advertisement for Filmation that invited fresh artists to take a layout exam. Midway through the 1980s, Timm submitted his application for the position; nevertheless, he returned to his previous position at Kmart. In the next year, Filmation resumed its recruiting process. It was on his second attempt that Timm was successful in passing the layout exam, and from that point on, he started working in animation.
During the early stages of his career in animation, Timm began his work at Filmation, where he was responsible for the layout of several animated films, including Blackstar, Flash Gordon, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, its spin-off She-Ra: Princess of Power, and The Lone Ranger. Also, he worked on the backdrop of the G.I. Joe series. In addition, he worked for a large number of other companies, such as Ralph Bakshi and Don Bluth Productions. He also made an effort to gain employment at Marvel Comics and DC Comics, but he was unsuccessful in doing so.

He began his career in the entertainment industry in 1988 when he worked for DIC Entertainment on The Real Ghostbusters for a single season. In 1989, he joined Warner Bros. While working at Warner, Timm was involved in the production of Tiny Toon Adventures. Timm was one of the creators and producers of the DC Animated Universe, which is an animated series that is based on a variety of superheroes from DC Comics.
Additionally, the DC Universe has given the “Timmverse” or “Universe” its name, naming it after both him and Paul Dini, who is a writer and producer.
