Aviva Mongillo is a Canadian actress and singer famous for her breakout performance as Alya Kendrick from the Canadian drama series’Backstage’. ‘Don’t speak to Irene’ is just one of her other notable works. A newcomer to the entertainment industry, she’s already made a substantial impression as a result of her singing ability and acting chops. Being very shy initially, she had been persuaded by her teachers to open up to new adventures and auditions. Music entered her life when she was just ten. She realized she actually enjoyed singing after attending a karaoke party and being convinced by friends that she could sing. Aviva had already started taking guitar lessons at age 12. Aviva Mongillo began acting at a really young age after taking acting and drama lessons. She started taking guitar lessons at age 12 after realizing her love for singing and music. She also played the title role in the stage production of’Pippin’. While still pursuing schooling, she auditioned for the part of Alya Kendrick from the Canadian performing arts show’Backstage’ (2016–present). She was successful in her audition regardless of having apprehensions and was cast in the part. The personality required her to play with a singer who suffers from stage fright and knows how to play the guitar. Aviva not just identified with the character because of her own shyness but excelled in the job. The first season began airing on March 18, 2016, and the second season aired on July 28, 2017. It is one of those top-rated shows in Canada as well as USA and UK.
The fame from ‘Backstage’ turned Aviva Mongillo and her co-stars into overnight sensations. On October 29, 2017, she made her movie debut with’Don’t speak To Irene’. The film won two awards in the 2017’Austin Film Festival’.
Aviva’s forthcoming project include the film,’Flarsky’, which is scheduled to be published in 2019. In the film she will be starring alongside Charlize Theron, Andy Serkis, and Seth Rogen.
Apart from a successful acting career, Aviva Mongillo is also a rising music star. She has a recording contract with ‘Cardinal Point Music’. Her debut EP,’Songs About Boys’, published on September 15, 2017, is currently among the chart-toppers in Canada. She clarified that the record is about a woman’s experience of opening her heart to boys as well as the tears or joy that accompany the trip.
Aviva is also busy on her eponymous YouTube station where she places videos of tune covers.
Aviva Mongillo was born on February 6, 1998, in Ontario, Canada. She has a younger brother named Nicolas. She’s of bashful nature and prefers keeping her private life away from press. Aviva was in a relationship with costar Josh Bogert who she met on the sets of’Backstage’.
