Amanda Louise Holden born February 16, 199 is a British actress and television presenter. Mia Bevan in Cutting It, Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart, and the title role in was born in Bishop’s Waltham, Hampshire to Judith Mary Harrison and Naval petty officer Frank Holden. Her parents divorced when she was four, and she was raised in the Waltham Chase village by Harrison and stepfather Leslie Drew Collister

She began performing with the Bishop’s Waltham Little Theatre Company when she was nine years old, and she credits Angie Blackford with influencing her early stage career. Amanda’s family moved to Bournemouth when she was 16 and ran a small B&B while she studied Drama and English Literature A levels with Terry Clarke and Charles Lamb at the Jellicoe Theatre, which is now part of Bournemouth and Poole College. When she was 18, she auditioned for the independent drama school Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in the Wood Green district of North London and graduated in July 1994.

Television career In 1991, she made her first television appearance as a contestant on the UK game show Blind Date, and she has since become a familiar face on British television. Holden played Sarah Trevanion in the ITV drama Wild at Heart. She is currently a judge on Britain’s Got Talent alongside Michael McIntyre, David Hasselhoff, Simon Cowell, and Piers Morgan, and was previously. Holden is now working for CBS as a British correspondent for The Early Show. Holden began writing a gossip column for the News of the World’s celebrity-focused magazine Fabulous in July 2009.

Holden filled in as a co-host on This Morning with Phillip Schofield from September 22 to December 18, 2014. She took a brief break in January and February 2015 to record the auditions for Britain’s Got Talent.
