As of the first of November 2022, Suryakumar Yadav is widely recognized as the finest Twenty20 International batsman in the world.

Beginning in 2010, he held the position of first-class and Twenty20 captain for the Mumbai cricket team for a short period. He bats in the middle of the order with his right hand and sometimes spins the ball with his right arm. On March 14, 2021, he debuted for India in a Twenty20 International match against England. On the 18th of July, 2021, he participated in his maiden One-Day International (ODI) match for India, a game against Sri Lanka. Before receiving his degree, he was a Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science student. When Parsee Gymkhana last took first place in this tournament in 1956, they created history by being the first club ever to win back-to-back trophies in three distinct competition forms within a single season.

The best batter award went to Yadav in this match. In October 2018, he was given a spot on the India C team to compete in the Deodhar Trophy for 2018–19. He was given the squad’s vice-captain role and played a significant role in the game. During the 2018 Indian Premier League auctions, Mumbai Indians purchased him for 3.2 crores, equivalent to USD 400,000. After a successful run with them, the Mumbai Indians decided to keep him on their roster and paid him INR 8 Cr. to do so before the big auction for the 2022 season.
