Singer and songwriter Sara Lynn Evans hails from the United States. She was born on February 5th, 1971, and given the name Sara Lynn Evans. She has also dabbled in acting, singing, and writing novels. She has had five number-one hits and six million albums certified platinum by Billboard.
The country songs “I Keep Looking,” “Cheatin’,” and “I Couldn’t Ask for More” are all in the top ten on the Billboard charts. Among her top 20 hits are “St.s and Angels,” “Backseat of Greyhound Bus,” and “As If.” These are merely examples. She has received numerous awards from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. She’s up for Female Vocalist of the Year as well as Single of the Year, both of which she will undoubtedly take home.
When Evans was young, she and her siblings formed a band called the Evans Family Band. From the time she was a young girl, until her early adolescence, the band frequently performed in her neighborhood. Evans and her brother Matt started their own band when they were kids. They started their own record label when they moved to Nashville in 1991 to become country music stars.
They moved to Oregon for a while but eventually settled back in Nashville. Evans found work as a demo singer after moving back to Nashville. As a result, she was offered a recording contract by RCA Records. In 1997, she published an album titled Three Chords and the Truth. A follow-up single, also titled “No Place That Far,” from the album No Place That Far reached the top spot on the Billboard Country charts.
Each of “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” and “A Real Fine Place to Start” has sold over a million copies in the United States. Evans made a final appearance on Dancing With the Stars before he left. Evans appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2006 and 2007.
Evans stopped performing for a while so she could devote more time to her family. Having started over, she released her sixth studio album, Stronger, in 2011. This song dominated the charts for a full fortnight. Evans decided to start her own record label after the success of Slow Me Down. Evans departed RCA the next year to start her own record label. In 2017, her first album, titled Words, was released by the label.
Booneville, Kentucky is the place of Evans’ birth. His parents, Pat, and Jack Evans, raised him in New Franklin. Her mother had remarried, so she and her half-siblings all gave birth at a hospital. The Evans children grew up on a farm of 400 acres where they helped raise a wide range of crops and animals.
When she was young, her father was a pressman for the Columbia Daily Tribune, while her mother worked as a school bus driver. Evans’s natural singing ability was discovered when she began singing with her two older brothers, who were learning to play the guitar. Evans’ mom formed a band with the support of her kids and called themselves The Evans Family Band.
Evans first sang in front of an audience when he was just six years old. She started singing with the band when she was seven years old. Her musical education continued as she mastered the guitar, mandolin, and drums. Evans found work as a breakfast server at a different Holiday Inn when he returned to Nashville after an extended vacation. Her first spouse, who was a bellman at a Holiday Inn, wooed her there.
After a whirlwind romance that began in 1992, the couple eventually settled down in Oregon. In her home state of Oregon, she fronted a band known as Sara Evans & North Santiam. They tied the knot in Oregon while they were living there. They had been gone for three years when they came back to Nashville in the mid-1990s. With the help of her attorney, Evans was able to secure a job as a demo vocalist.
This song was based in part on a demo she recorded for Patty Loveless. At first, she thought no one would appreciate her rendition of “I’ve Got a Tiger by the Tail” by Buck Owens, but then she realized that they would. Harlan Howard, a songwriter, was immediately taken with Evans’ country sound after hearing her on a cassette.
Howard successfully lobbied RCA Records to play Evans’ work. Evans played three songs for RCA CEO Joe Galante. Evans started working for RCA Records the day after. They extended an offer to her for a seven-album deal. They agreed. Evans had been with RCA for her entire recording career till she left in February 2016.
In August of that year, Evans signed a new recording contract with Concord Music Group, and in September, he switched labels to Sugar Hill Records. Evans decided to end his contract with the label rather than negotiate a new one. The year Chrisley Knows Best ended was also the year that Evans made his USA Network debut. She sang her original song, titled “Infinite Love.” Cast member Todd Chrisley sang the song with another performer.
The song made it into the top 40. On the 2016 season, finale of Celebrity Family Feud, the Chrisleys and Evan’s brothers joined the rest of the cast. Evans and her siblings went up against the Chrisleys. Evans was appalled by country radio’s lackluster backing for female artists.
