Rio Mangini is an American actor, songwriter, and singer. He is best known for his part as ‘McQuaid’ in the comedy-drama ‘Everything Sucks!’ At age 10, Rio featured as “Jax” in the short film “Six Letter Word” when he discovered his passion for acting. After making a few television appearances, Rio starred in the 2014 direct-to-video movie The Little Rascals Save the Day. The film continued the first “The Little Rascals,” released in 1994.

His first television appearance was in the 2013 sci-fi comedy “Marvin Marvin.” He also had guest appearances on ‘Kickin’ It’ (2012), ‘Bella and the Bulldogs (2015), ‘General Hospital’ (2017), and ‘Everything Sucks!’ (2018). Rio’s father is {Mark Mangini, an ‘Academy Award–winning sound editor and designer.

Rio was a musical genius born into a family with deep roots in show business. When he was nine, he made his professional debut as a pianist. In two episodes of the Nick at Nite sitcom “See Dad Run,” he portrayed the role of “Carlos.” The American comedy followed the exploits of an actor who gives up acting to focus on being a stay-at-home parent. He voiced the character of Rygan in four episodes of the animated space adventure series Miles from Tomorrowland. The name “Miles from Tomorrowland” was inspired by “Disney” parks’ “Tomorrowland” attraction. After three seasons, the program changed its title to Mission: Force One.

Mangini was cast as a regular in the 2015 season of the Nickelodeon comedy series Bella and the Bulldogs. The series followed a group of high school students from Boring, Oregon, who decided to make a film about their lives as teens. The program took place in the 1990s and focused on young people’s struggles with sexuality and mental health. There was just a single season of the program before it was canceled. Rio was the main attraction in every episode.

In 2018, he will play the role of Jeff in the TV movie Guess Who Died. In the same year, he will debut in the feature film adaptation of the novel ‘Reach,’ which he is now filming.
