Jones was born on November 1, 1981. Jones was one of a total of 10 children that were born to his mother and stepfather, and he was born in Sacramento. Pomona was his home throughout his formative years. After migrating to Claremont, he enrolled in the high school there and continued his education there until he graduated.
Ultimate Improv was established by him while he was still residing in Westwood. Subsequently, following an unsuccessful audition in Amsterdam, he became a member of the cast of Boom Chicago, where he resided for a period of three years. Boom’s hectic touring schedule caused him to lose his voice on a regular basis, a condition that “stuck” with him over time and contributed to the distinctive rasp that he now possesses. Jones was the lead vocalist for the ska band Faculty Four and was responsible for writing the majority of the band’s songs. Before moving to Boom Chicago, Jones was featured in twenty advertisements over the period of two years, one of which was for Midas. During this time, Jones also worked. After returning to Los Angeles, he immediately had an acting tryout for the critically acclaimed crime program Breaking Bad, which is broadcast on AMC.
Between the years 2008 and 2013, Jones appeared on Breaking Bad in recurring episodes playing the role of Brandon “Badger” Mayhew. In addition to appearing on How I Met Your Mother in the role of a pizza delivery boy, he has also appeared in episodes of Reno 911! and Community, both of which air on NBC. He is featured in almost 40 different adverts. He appeared in the pilot episode of the sketch program Key & Peele, which is broadcast on Comedy Central. In addition to playing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and I.O. West, he is a regular at both of these establishments. Jones played the lead role of Uncle Nigel in the pilot episode of the TBS series that was created by Andy Breckman and aired in 2010. His voice work may be heard on Adventure Time, which airs on Toon Network.
In addition, he had a starring role in the Disney XD series Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil in the year 2010, playing the role of Kick’s best friend Gunther Magnuson. His acting credits for 2011 include the film Red State as well as a supporting role in the computer game Rage. Jones also played the recurring role of Probationary Agent Ned Dorneget on the CBS drama NCIS from 2011 through 2015. His run on the show lasted from 2011 until 2015. At the beginning of 2012, Jones was first cast in the unaired FOX pilot written by Steven Levitan and titled “Rebounding.”
Since leaving Boom Chicago, Jones has appeared in twenty other advertisements, one of which is for the auto repair shop Midas. Before he had his big break on the television show “Breaking Bad” in 2008, he had small roles on the television shows “Gilmore Girls” and “Greek.” His career-defining performance as Brandon “Badger” Mayhew opened the door to a plethora of future acting possibilities. In the domain of feature films, his acting credits include Red State, Peter at the End, and Dreamworld. On television, his acting credits include “Uncle Nigel,” “Reno 911,” “Man Up,” and “Hawaii Five-0.”
Jones has established a strong reputation in the entertainment industry thanks to his work both behind and in front of the camera. For instance, he has provided the voices for a large number of characters in “Sanjay and Craig,” “Adventure Time,” “Kick Buttowski: Suburban Devil,” and “Rage.” In addition, he has made appearances in “Beware the Batman,” “DC Nation Shorts,” “F is for Family,” and “Pig Goat Banana Cricket,” amongst other shows.
Boov Kyle in “Home,” Wedge in “Final Fantasy VII,” and Home: Adventures With Tip and Oh are some of the most recent roles he has played. A number of commercials have been spoken by him, thanks to the distinctive grating quality of his voice. Matt was the lead singer and major songwriter for the band Faculty Four before he joined Boom Chicago. Before that, he was a member of Boom Chicago. Before the production of the music video for Twaught Hammer’s “Fallacies,” he has never before had the opportunity to make a music video with his band.
His experience in comedy dates back to when he was still in his teenage years and living in Westwood. During the three years that he spent touring 20 European countries with Boom Chicago, he participated in over a thousand improvised comedy events and performed over a thousand different comedy sketches. Jones had an appearance as a guest in the pilot episode of “Key and Peele” on Comedy Central in the year 2012. Matt didn’t stop performing improv comedy at I.O. West and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater even after his acting career took off and became quite successful.
They first became romantically involved in the year 2010, and on May 5, 2012, they tied the knot. They are parents to a son together by the name of Jasper, who is now four years old. The average person is not aware of any other ways in which they are connected. Kelly Daly, an American actress, appears in a number of films, including “Dying For Love,” “One Night Stand,” and “Paranormal Witness.” Both before and after she got married to Jones, she has been quite secretive about her personal life. Kelly is often seen standing by her husband’s side during public appearances, including on the red carpet and at formal events.
