Mary Elizabeth McDonough is an American actress and writer. She was born on May 4, 1961, and is sometimes attributed to Mary Beth McDonough. She is most well-known for her role as Erin Walton on The Waltons, which aired from 1972 to 1981. Her father was an Irish American veteran of the United States Marine Corps from Nebraska, and her mother was a native of the city of La Junta in Colorado.
