Colleen Patrick-Goudreau Bio

Colleen Patrick-Goudreau is an American novelist and lecturer who has achieved a great deal of notoriety in her field. Colleen Patrick-Goudreau was born on March 8th, 1970, and she was born in Westfield, New Jersey. Commentator on culture, host of the podcast TEDxTalks, and speaker at TEDx events. Patrick-primary Goudreau’s advocacy of veganism has, at least in part, been driven by his desire to reduce or eliminate instances of cruelty to animals. After the success of her first book, The Joy of Vegan Baking, which was released in 2007, Patrick-Goudreau went on to write The Vegan Table: 200 Unforgettable Dishes for Entertaining. About this book, Library Journal wrote, “Her sophisticated but mostly uncomplicated recipes will appeal to non-vegans and vegans alike.”

Patrick-Goudreau is the author of multiple publications, the first of which was released in 2007 and is referred to as “her first book.” Her book, which is called Color Me Vegan, is organized according to color, which calls attention to the phytochemicals that are contained in foods that are produced from plants. Bust claims that her book “The 30-Day Vegan Challenge” offers readers not only recipes but also a “crash course in veganism.”In addition to this, the book explores the potential health benefits of adopting a vegan diet for the reader.

The subtitle of the book reads as follows: “How to Stay Vegan in a World That Wants You to Eat, Meat, Dairy, and Eggs.” The publication of the book was handled by BenBella Books. The first podcast of its kind, Food for Thought was produced by Patrick-Goudreau in 2005 and has been voted “Favorite Podcast” by the readers of VegNews for multiple years in a row. Food for Thought was also the first podcast to focus only on vegan and vegetarian topics. Her second podcast is called ANIMALOGY, and it examines the words and phrases that we use that are associated with animals, as well as what those words and expressions indicate about the relationship between humans and non-human animals.

In the year 2020, she will also use this as the topic of her lecture at the TEDx conference. Patrick-Goudreau is also a contributor to NPR, in addition to all of this. She was featured in an episode of Vegan Mashup, which is a program that is created for the public broadcasting service PBS. Patrick-Goudreau has been a guest on shows such as “Good Day Sacramento” on CBS and “Cooking Live” on FOX, where she was requested to share her expertise as well as some of her favorite dishes.

Her appearances have been broadcast on national as well as regional networks. The general public has, for a very long time, connected the consumption of meat with a macho and aggressive temperament. This association continues to exist today. The consumption of meals derived from plants is seen as more feminine than the consumption of meat. Consuming plant foods is seen as a sign of weakness, whereas eating meat is seen as a sign of virility.

We are made to believe that the consumption of meat is reserved for only true males. At this point, I am aware that I am meant to reject these cliches by pointing out the fact that bulls and gorillas gain muscle by eating plants and that a huge number of vegan bodybuilders and endurance athletes are earning medals for their superior strength, speed, and brawn. However, I am not going to do that because I am not going to refute these cliches. Instead, I am going to talk about how bulls and gorillas build muscle by eating plants.

And despite the fact that every one of those things is correct, you still have a rather limited understanding of what it means to be a guy. A person’s strength can be judged by more than just the maximum amount of weight that they are able to lift successfully. In addition to this, it is about having the self-control to make your own decisions, the guts to act on your views, and the conviction to stick to your ideals. It is not exactly a show of strength, autonomy, or independence when one agrees with societal expectations and is scared to confront cultural preconceptions or eat kale. Nor is it an indication that one is strong, autonomous, or independent.

Not eating kale is analogous to conforming to social dictates and being frightened to defy cultural preconceptions. Consuming animals does not increase any of the traditionally male attributes that are considered to be worthy of pride. These values include accepting responsibility, having a sense of dignity, exhibiting respect for others, and protecting those who are vulnerable. In point of fact, if anything, I would say that it is the exact opposite of that statement. Consuming plants rather than animals is an act of kindness, consideration, and respect that can be directed toward oneself as well as toward other people.

The benefits are not only abundant but also widespread in their application. My spouse would tell you that he stopped using items derived from animals 22 years ago in order to be more in line with his purpose of living a simple life and allowing others to do the same. This was done in order to save money and help the environment. It’s his strength as a person that I respect and appreciate the most about him, and unfortunately, that’s not something you can acquire from eating steak.
