On the Western drama series Yellowstone, which airs on the Paramount Network, he now plays the role of Rip Wheeler. Cass Warner, the founder of the film production firm Warner Sisters, and Wings Hauser, an actor, are Cole Hauser’s parents. Cole Hauser is the son of both of his parents.
The film screenwriter Dwight Hauser was his paternal grandfather. He won an Academy Award for his work. Cole’s maternal grandpa, Milton Sperling, was a Hollywood screenwriter and independent film producer, and one of Cole’s maternal great-grandfathers, film magnate Harry Warner, was a founding partner of Warner Bros. Betty Mae Warner, Hauser’s maternal grandmother, was an artist, sculptor, political activist, and gallery owner.
She was married to Stanley Sheinbaum, who was a political activist, economist, philanthropist, and former commissioner of the Los Angeles Police Department. On his father’s side, Hauser has German and Irish ancestry, while on his mother’s side, he is of Jewish lineage. In 1977, when Hauser was just two years old, his parents went through a divorce. According to him, it was sometime around the age of fifteen when he finally got to meet his father after being separated from him for several years due to a move.
His father took him in for a year and instructed him in the process of trying out for roles. Prior to that, Hauser and his half-brother and half-sisters, together with himself, had been relocated within a span of 12 years by their mother from Santa Barbara to Oregon to Florida and then back to Santa Barbara. He was a very active participant in athletics at the time, but his academic pursuits were not a priority for him. He first won the major role in the stage play Dark of the Moon, for which he received standing ovations for his performance, and then he was admitted to the short-listed circle of talent at a talent summer camp in New England.
The camp was located in New England. He made the decision to drop out of high school when he was 16 years old in order to pursue a career in acting.[10]In the film School Ties (1992), which also included the film debuts of several other young and promising performers, including Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O’Donnell, and Ben Affleck, Hauser made his debut as an actor. After that, he was offered a part in the film Dazed and Confused, directed by Richard Linklater and also starring Ben Affleck.
In the movie directed by John Singleton and released in 1995, “Higher Learning,” Hauser portrayed the part of the leader of the campus neo-Nazi skinheads. In the film Good Will Hunting (1997), which also starred Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Hauser collaborated with the latter two actors once again. In the year 2000, he starred as William J. Johns in the film Pitch Black, and he also provided his voice for the role in the video game prequel.
In the film Hart’s War, which he starred in alongside Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell in 2002, he gave a performance as a bigoted American prisoner-of-war. The next year, in 2003, he appeared in Tears of the Sun starring Bruce Willis playing a Navy SEAL. He also had a role in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious, playing a mob boss. Since then, he has landed several prominent roles in Hollywood films, such as the ones in Paparazzi and The Cave, both of which were produced by Mel Gibson.
In 2007, he co-starred in the FOX television series K-Ville alongside Anthony Anderson. After a total of ten episodes, the show was pulled from the air. In the same year, Hauser starred in The Stone Angel, which was a film adaptation of a novel written by Margaret Laurence. The movie was shown at a number of festivals around the world and had a limited release in theaters across Canada in May of 2008.
During the same year, Cole filmed a number of other independent films and television pilots, such as Like Dandelion Dust, an adaptation of a novel written by Karen Kingsbury; Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys; and the CBS television pilot The Tower. Later in his career, he had roles in films such as A Good Day to Die Hard as CIA Agent Mike Collins, Olympus Has Fallen as Secret Service Special Agent Roma and Transcendence as Colonel Stevens.
On the police drama series Rogue, he played the role of Ethan Kelly, and he is currently playing the role of Rip Wheeler on the Western drama series Yellowstone, which airs on the Paramount Network. Cynthia Daniel, a former actress, and photographer, is married to Hauser. Daniel is best known for her role as Elizabeth Wakefield in the television series adaptation of Francine Pascal’s novel series Sweet Valley High. Hauser and Daniel have been blessed with three kids: two sons, who were born in 2004 and 2008, and a daughter, who was born in 2012.
